Maybe 22nd to 24th as Halloween could make flights cost more? :)

Halloween isn't really a thing in europe? I think? I am really considering participating this time...

you know... assuming I can... and we aren't the corona capital of the EU anymore

Maybe not from other European countries, but there could be a price spike for all UK flights?

Thanks Stefan for confirming BCN its still the host for the gpro meeting.

I hope the pandemic situation will be enough good for everybody. No idea how good its going to be the vaccination process... UE has a goal to had 70% of adult population vaccinated before the summer... but here in spanish the process is very slow... we need to vaccinate 4 times faster in order to get to that goal. Only in catalonia has been vaccinated a 12% of population.

So with these numbers no idea if its optimistic or not to think about being back to "normal" life, travels, holidaying, everything by autumn. Lets hope its possible and the gpro meeting will be held. Im very much looking forward to it. Obvioulsy im still willing to be the host of the meeting

I'm interested in joining as well. As for the suggested dates, my only remark is that if the goal is to watch F1 together, the Japanese GP may not be the best candidate because it's early in the morning. We could watch the US or Mexican GP in a pub having a beer.

exactly, was Jasper said. Initially when the dates were discussed i thought it would be better a GP in the American continent this is why i said about October... and prices of booking hotels or whatever place to stay also would be cheaper.

22nd-24th for the US GP probably makes the most sense then, as later in the month but still on the American continent (plus it's normally a better race than Mexico anyway for overtaking etc.)...

Thoughts? :)

Okay - sounds like a good plan to aim for then :)

@Stefan Voggenreither (R4) Can we lock in that date for now? Clearly, COVID allowing...

Both of those weekends will be more expensive from the UK as it's the start and end of half term. :)

That will definitely do as official confirmation!

@Florencia Caro (P4) Would you mind editing the title of the thread and including the date as 22/10-24/10 please? :)

Well I would still need to get vaccinated before that and Spain needs to be "open" and I need to renew my credit card and switching jobs soon and dozen other potential issues, But I am willing to take the gamble and take a 200€ risk for a fun event :)

The government is saying that it might be possible to 70% of Spanish population to be vaccinated by the end of August... probably it will take some more time than that... but i think its highly possible that 1,5 months later to Spain be opened to tourists and be able to travel becuase most of the people vaccinated.

Looking forward to see all you guys coming over here ;)
