Not that I'm questioning the above advice (it all sounds reasonably plausible) but in the interests of balance can I point out it hasn't yet been conclusively proven by so-called 'modern science' that keeping your fingers crossed at the start of a race has no influence on start crash probability

Andrew, the point is that there is no point in trying to predict when you might get a random, or even whether you get successive ones, as they are totally independent of each other.

The bold part is the key when we are talking about probabilities ;)

Of course the probability of getting 2 consecutive randoms is lower than getting just one if you calculate these probabilities BEFORE, but once you had the first random, chances are just as high as in any other race to get one again right in the next race.
That's how probabilities work and why Kirsty's statement was just wrong :P

Your fuel tank split open during the crash and set a marshal on fire =]

Possibly to avoid giving what may be false data as you didn't actually complete a full lap?

And when he puts his starting risks really low it encourages others to drive into the back of him like at Interlagos.

Would like to throw another thing regarding to this, had reasonable risks setup

race report says:

Rico Bastiaanse damages his rear wing after a contact with Enderson Oviedo who seems to be able to continue without any visible damage (He was behind me on the grid)

Past setup says:

Stop 1
(Lap 1) Your car had a puncture

Thats a special random :)

Simple: your car uses inflatable wings. That's against the rules, btw :)

What race risk (CT), are you using and what start risk?
