Alonso @ BBC article

But when he was asked what birthday present he would like after finishing fifth in Sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix, Alonso replied: "Someone else's car."

Not sure if serious or...

Which of those two is fast enough to help Red Bull in continuing to gap the other constructors early, yet not so fast as to unsettle Sebastian?

Definitely not Kimi.....he's too quick, always keeps his cool, and doesn't have constant catastrophic starts. That would throw Sebastian off.

News from Germany - Räikkönen signed contract with Ferrari.

Don't have time to check is there any articles in English about it, but IMO it sounds like unlikely, but then again... Ferrari don't have money problems and Kimi have been there before.

Edit. And like usual, Ferrari denies everything and tell that there are speculations every year, just like last year and you know what happened, Felipe stayed.

Franz Tost have said in Formula's 1 recent interview that Ricciardo is primed to be Vettel's team mate next season. Here's an excerpt of the interview:

Q: Franz, the rumour mill was working overtime in Budapest on who will replace Mark Webber in the second Red Bull car in 2014. How certain is it that one of your protégés will move over to the sister team?

Franz Tost: The likelihood is pretty high. Red Bull Racing is showing interest in Daniel (Ricciardo) and the decision will be made inside Red Bull. So there is no decision yet - but my understanding right now is that it could, in fact, be Daniel.

He does go on to say the promo may be too early for Ricciardo mainly due to his lack of success in F1.

As Toro Rosso is a sister team and an acting driver programme for Red Bull, by rights Webber's seat should go to Ricciardo. Look what Vettel did from Rosso! I don't think JE-V is ready for a top seat. Kimi and Vettel would not work. Team orders would be interesting! Ricciardo's the man.

It should be Ricciardo otherwise Red Bull young driver programme may not be too popular as Ricciardo and Vergne haven't had a Monza (namely a good low downforce car + rain + usual contenders crashing and spinning in practice and quali. I mean, Bordais was FOURTH. It couldn't be all Vettel now could it?)
