Because, you know, national pride in Germany is baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad and needs to be cut down instantly.

Yes, as soon as possible. Considering recent history of Germany.

Germany has to avoid these football songs so common in other countries because of its History.

I live in Hannover. I love the German people. But I still see German flags in the balconies and it begins to feel creepy some days when already the WC has finished.

If you are judging the people of today by the mistakes of the past, then that says more about you than it does the people of today. I don't think that you can properly judge the people of the past by the mistakes of their day; it is easy to say what is right or wrong after the fact. The reality is that economic hardship is what causes extreme views to become prevalent.

LOL...
How was in Italy in 2006?
Why can't we proud of the achievement of our nations?

Quote ( Finn Shaw-McIver @ July 17th 2014,12:06:29 )

I just think you can't have national pride without by default also thinking other countries are worse than your own.

Well, it's a matter of intelligence...

And apparently it`s due to the high temperatures during the summer. FIFA is run by a bunch of morons, but that`s not exactly breaking news, is it?

Why would they in fifa vote for it to be held there, then a couple of years later say it will be too hot and then be against it? Corruption or complete stupidity (or both), you choose.

Blatter wants them to return them because of their Fifa Ethics and that they are leading the fight against corruption... Irony at its best.

That would be the real cabaret! :D

Why? Is having a Romania-Hungary game every two years not enough trouble or what? :P

Don't like the foolish nationalists...
Collaboration could do wonders, but unfortunately, our nations are not yet at this level.
And because of the radical groups, probably never will... :S

And then we'd have a news report coming up soon that the Islamic State joins the Democratic People's Republic of Korea as the only two nations to put a man on the sun. Oooh.
