for having the possibility to decide the tyre to use during the race it is very important to know the tyres in charge of others cars in Q1/race.
I see that now there is a little line of White colour for all cars in race but should be better to see a red line for the extrasoft, Yellow color for soft and so on.
This is the way for having the possibility to study a different strategy during the Q1 looking for the race.

I think working out / guessing what tyres and risks other guys are on is part of the game.

And if you're looking to get that info is given after they qualie, welcome to Grand Prix Everyone Qualify At The Last Second Racing Online.

Knowing on what tyres others have qualified would give quite a big benefit for those who can qualify late. And knowing other people's strategy would also take a lot of suspense from the start of the race away.

People qualifying late already have an advantage of seeing how their net time compares to the grid and depending on their goals, they can alter their strategy to be higher/lower on the field with different compounds. This would only help them more.

And what happens to the person who wants to see what tyres you are using?

You can already make a somewhat aproximate guess by observing the qualification times.

Anyway, knowing them for sure would give an unfair advantage to the late qualifiers, and could be a handicap for those who have problems with work hours or/and time zone, so I think it would not be positive.

This might be a nice addition to the live race screen before the race starts.

I also think that would be nice... just for the live race screen, but never during the qualify days because, as others said, would be an unfair advantage.

But for the live race could be nice. I think that improve the Race Sceen is a very nice way to improve tha game itelself without change its gameplay.

Aside from the fairness issues I'm not sure you would be able to see the lines of colour on the racescreen/starting grid simply because they would be so thin.

Probably best way to distinguish tyre compounds on the race screen, as well as a line for the tyres, but maybe the names appearing in the compound colour (i.e. red font for XS Yellow for S etc.)

Was debating about whether to say something about it being an option for race screen. Wouldn't give away any information, as you cannot change anything, and you can see what the competition runs, to see if you have a chance or not during the race

Between the tire brand and manager's name you could add a second icon for the tire compound.

Totally disagree with the idea of showing your compound used for qualy or even before race starts or during race

Reason during Qualy it's unfair for drivers that need to qualify earlier, I personally would be handicapped since I have to qualify at least 12 hours before due to time zones.

Before Race or after race:
It has been mentioned that it removes some drama from the race, it also makes it too easdy for other managers to know what kinds of startegies do you normally use.
Of course you can calculate this now, but it takes some effort to find out now.

I like the idea. But just in the race replay.

Knowing on what tyres others have qualified would give quite a big benefit for those who can qualify late.
So no one will be benefit with this, and you could analyse the race the strategy of rivals easily.

I know that its possible to do right now. But its harder on PRO groups having 4/5 tyres suppliers.
