Bribed judge and/or VAR room, every game played at home and after all, removing medals like thay diserve more??? ...they are a shame for sport and thair nation...bottom of the bottom...

It's not just England last night that remove their runners up medals it happens quite often.

What medal did Croatia get by the way?

I suppose had it not been for UEFA following the actual rules outlined for players testing positive Croatia would have won the tournament?

Only a matter of time before China get it too, think there are bigger issues than a few hundred thugs causing trouble.

China will never get that chance. :D

They will. Probably sooner rather than later. You're clearly underestimating the influence of money and power on football.

The border control of China won't allow it. :D

It is too communist to have that privilege. The internet there is monitored, and FIFA would expect that to be lifted, which they ain't doing, regardless of money. They are rich already, so no need for any extra income :D

I don't consider myself an expert on China but their current economic model looks more like state capitalism to me.

I think you're giving the FIFA officials way too much credit here.

Has anyone ever complained about having too much money? China is a huge market and all large sports organizations want a slice of that market. The rich will almost always attempt to get even richer. I'd be more surprised if we didn't see a World Cup in China in the next 20 years.

Corrupt countries don't hold sports events to earn money, they do it to brush up their reputation abroad. The same reason why companies like Emirates, Qatar Airways etc. took control of European club football. Or why countries like the UAE, Bahrain or Azerbaijan host F1 Grands Prix.

Anyway, I don't see why China wouldn't get a chance to host a World Cup when they're hosting both the summer and winter Olympics in the space of 14 years.

That's fine - we've not hit the highest level yet, so we'll take the next World Cup win and then another 50 odd years of not winning it tbh! :P
