If I go into the pit for change of tires during the race, will my crew refuel at the same time??

Unless you already have more fuel than you want the car to be filled up to.

well for a start every lap is on a different track is of a different length therefore fuel per lap is a pointless exercise, hence pointing to the FAQ and the guide. I spose Sara coulda been talking about a very long lap.

Or if you're going for your first race you might try fuel/race and start from there :) (as suggested in the guides) After 1 or 2 races you'll be better equiped to make calculations

thats if you track your data, and I recommend not only fuel, but I would track your tire wear as well.

Jakko, we can't give you that information, so you're going to have to just find out I'm afraid. As Nigel said, check the Rules, FAQ and Newbie guide.
I remember the very first race I did I didn't have a clue what to do, so I put a lot of fuel in the car and went for a tyre compound which would last most of the race.
After that, I reviewed my race (check out Race Analysis after the race) and worked out the fuel used per km. After a few races, you should be able to get a bit of a better idea as to what is what! :)
