The biggest problem i have had with Project cars (first one haven't got 2nd one) was the controller. A lot of the corners, especially chicanes, you can't turn quick enough to hit the apex, even with a fast steering lock. Loews is near on impossible at Monaco without hitting the outside wall at the exit (Azure circuit), and it becomes impossible if you turn stability control off. You touch the accelerator slightly and you end up oversteering into the inside wall, or you try to correct and end up in the outside wall

Other than that, good game :D (PS4 btw)

Worse thing about P Cars the First is the psycho AI. I really like the handling model of the game.

Oh the handling model is amazing, but its very hard to control the model with a controller. And the psycho AI is psycho. You could be passing on the racing line and they will go straight to the line you are at

Turns out there IS a use for racing cars that max out at 70 mph..

Sounds like Formula Rookie cars in Project Cars 2. :)

Yes, I learnt how to use a controller in racing games in Raceroom, I highly recomend you to start using turing cars and then starting with low powered Formula cars, like Formula 4/3/2 l

Yeah, well, the initial race that PC 2 gave me until the whole damn thing downloads (which takes for ages) was with a freaking McLaren beast that was highly twitchy and too damn fast. :p

So I'll wait for the whole thing to install before giving it a go with some slow cars.

EDIT

And it's not terrible after a race? But the AI needs to be at 20-25% performance, otherwise I suck majorly. :p

Controller skills come from Gran Tourismo the original..

My controller skills came from GT3, using both analog sticks to control those slower cars, which helped over the years when I got my first F1 game in 2002. It wasn't until 2011 when I started using a manual gearbox on my PS3 then 360 controller (switched the buttons so that it's more comfortable to shift up & down). Now, with my 360 racing wheel, it feels like I need to go back to a Forza game or something to get used to this wheel.

PS2 controllers also were/are pressure sensitive.

I don't know how many times I came out of a race on GT3 with the circle indentations on my right thumb, good times. Did that as a kid until I started using both analog sticks; gives a more realistic feel than just button-mashing.

I'd actually advise trying a completely new game with more realistic physics. Especially if you've come from a controller background. I played Forza 2, 3 and 4 with a pad, then got that wheel you have there and hated it because I was good with a pad and shit with that wheel. And since the single player was crap on Forza 4 and I didn't like being uncompetitive online the wheel did nothing but colelct dust til I sold it to a friend, who had the exact same problem.

So then I got a new wheel when I got rFactor 1, which is actually the one I have now, turned racing line off and just spent a good 50 hours racing on that. Then going back to forza was easy. But Forza is a crap wheel game tbh.

Red Bull without a doubt ;) But if you can make the AI harder and turn off the ideal racing line and race with cockpitview.

Graphics looks realistic. It´s like movie but not interesting action.. F1 2018 is the game like repetition from last year where significant changes are only in graphics and modeling.

The season of the changes is 2019. There are more driver changes even though the stables remain constant.

New teaser trailer for F1 2019 includes a no-livery render of an F2 car, and apparently we can now customise liveries.

I haven't bought an F1 game since 2016 because they've not really innovated much, but this is a big step I think, I may actually buy this one :)

As soon as good mod support is confirmed I think I'm sold.
