Quote ( Luke Frost @ September 18th 2020,10:37:58 ) Mark went to VS to be with supportive friends during a tough time
From what he said, his wife was already sick once he joined Ignition, and then she even got new treatment after which she felt better. We gave him full support and were ready to help to cover his account with a holiday. So unfortunately you are wrong here. For me, it's obvious what they wanted to achieve and I don't respect such behavior. I wish them all the best, that's all I wanted to say.

@Rafal sometimes its better to stop talking, as Luke already said, you are not only hurting yourself, but your whole team aswell

Quote ( Rafal Celejewski @ September 18th 2020,10:06:30 ) That's really moving ... But thanks for the confirmation it was your plan for the beginning! Looks like the whole Victorious is full of crap then :)
I didnt want to be the one saying it publicly but Mark has already revealed the information so i'm gonna make it clear now.
The "plan", as you call it, was to let a man whose wife has terminal cancer enjoy a game so he could shrug the stress of real life.
Quote ( Ivan Silva @ September 18th 2020,02:58:44 ) Btw, was this why you attempted to switch Mark's GPRO password?
Also I like how you dodged this question amongst your posting.

For those of you that do know Mark would know, moving to Ignition, he did not have any bad intent on his mind He only went to ignition because he felt that team could give him a much wanted team title. Once there though he did feel very alone. The Victorious family are very active on skype and in the forums. Mark loves that social aspect of the game. It just got his mind off things at home for awhile. That is what he found Ignition was lacking. Good to hear they did give some support over the poor health of his wife
For 3 seasons he tried to make it work, but an opening appeared back in his old Victorious team, and he knew he had to return. He never went to Ignition to steal their tools, or their secrets. He has always strived to be in a team that could become number 1. But in the end, he was missing the Victorious family, and the inevitable happened
Most of you in this game have no idea how long Mark has being trying to deal with the worsening condition of his forever love. I can tell you, it has been awhile and he still does not know, how much longer his wife will be with him. So please guys show some compassion, to a guy that has been through so much. I just don't know how he does it, but he has to.
I have found a life long friend in this game and one that urges me to do more with my wife. We take life for granted too many times. You never know how much longer we will be here

I want to say some words, hope for the last time about this subject.
First of all, behind this screen, there is a human being, a soul, with his flaws, fears, character and all these things, so about Mark I really feel sorry what he is dealing with... stay strong man, in the end everything will have been worth it. But I can tell about me a bunch things too... depression arent nice at all.
Second thing is, GPRO community are amazing, even the guys I dont like I prefer to see them here around the forum and having some feelings, roasting, etc when see and/or answering their posts here just to keep mind away from the real life problems (not as teammate at all). And of course praising even more the guys I like, thank you all.
For a team my thoughts are, remembering Im still a newbie: I would like more guys to help me to increase in the game over guys to support my depression drama. But others are different and for me its pretty clear Mark didnt "stole" our amazing tools, he just wants closer friends for this particular time, and I did my best when having him as my teammate, even more cause he was the guy who arrived when the team kicked a guy that could have made me to quit the team. So here is where the frustration became huge, when guys think about a team differently. Mark leaving us was a hard hit even thinking our chances arent this amazing cause of me being the weak point about TP generation capabilities. It would be only more 2 months here not this big problem I presume but still Mark went for a more friendly place for him... just let me to wish all the best forever for him again (still not agreeing with this kind of attitude), and think Mark allow me to say this, he trying Ignition to have a team title push opportunity was one of the reasons he left VS family, opportunity he never had before there.
I just love this game so much, both ways: having friends, and having strong plans to win in the main game here. its not only a distraction to me, its some reason to keep me alive... I like to see guys being sucessful (by the way congrats Gulf, you guys deserved) here, and wish this myself. Maybe with some confidence back I can pass this to my real life issues and fight for a better rest of life I can have, if some still.
Hey Alex Holland, give me back my "how to summarize things" manual ...

Man I'm not gonna get involved in this Luke summarized it pretty well a few posts up.
If any team wants a half-decent, half-motivated manager, I am looking to turn a new page.

Quote ( Mark McTaggart @ September 18th 2020,10:28:02 ) it got to the point it was leave because im not enjoying this or retire because i cant be bothered. I loved the opportunity I was given to join Ignition, but this is true. Some people are just looking for more banter and more support. I felt the same way in Ignition, and actually retired for a season and a half upon leaving. I lost motivation to play and really felt I had made a mistake expecting the support and fun.
I have lots of respect for the team and their ambitions, but this should never have been in public.
Its a game, and most of us want to put enjoyment first, success second. A serious team are awesome if you are the right fit for it. Some of us are not.
Sorry Ignition, you handled this badly IMO.

Quote ( Kirsty Ridley @ September 18th 2020,12:30:49 ) A serious team are awesome if you are the right fit for it. Some of us are not.
Spot on, and I think far too many people overlook the importance of a good fit when they're looking for a new team.
My view is that many people place too high a value on the position of a team in the team standings, or the level at which the majority of the managers are currently racing at. Sure, for some people this might be relevant, and the success of the team may (or may not) be an indication of the quality of the tools/data/knowledge within that team. But that isn't everything. Team objectives, personalities and attitudes should all be considered before joining a team. This is, after all, just a game and if someone isn't enjoying the banter, or is being pressured into a particular way of playing the game that they don't want to do, then they shouldn't be in the team.
I actually think figuring out what is a good team for me has got far harder than it used to be. Back when I started playing the forums were more active and so you could get a good idea of the personality of some team members before joining the team. With the forum being less active now, that's not quite so easy. If I scan through some of the highest ranked teams, I see names that I've never seen post in the forum, and I know nothing about them. Obviously, joining such a team is higher risk than one with members you are more familiar with.
I've been teamless for pretty much all of the last 30 seasons. I've had a chat with a few teams over that time that looked interesting, but it has never been right for both parties. For me, joining a team is a two way discussion around (i) what can I bring to the team and (ii) does the team offer what I'm looking for. If I can't answer both of those questions with something positive, it probably isn't the team for me.
I have seen the phrase "having no team is better than being in a bad team" in this very thread a few times, and I agree entirely with that. If the fit between the manager and the team isn't right, I'd also say that "having no team is better than being in a good team" is equally true.

Quote ( Daniel Douglas @ September 18th 2020,03:05:15 ) Now that's just funny.... and shows exactly why I left you guys... the attitude and mentality of the team. I really forgot you were in the team bro, My bad!
Yet again no one was ever happy DD, Im sorry. We didnt want to be rude but I was the first one to root on whatsapp for you to leave. You came close to your whatever plan you had thanks to us, so you could fail again. Cheers buddy, dont try to make a point for something you are not involved.
Quote ( Ivan Silva @ September 18th 2020,02:58:44 ) And man, about the tools, after 78 seasons you really think that we dont have 50/100 other teams that have the same sort of tools Ignition has aswell? There are even tools as efective as ours available online and for free Screw the tools man, you dont understand the situation. I have never ever used any tool at all, but we made a plan and Mark brought in the game a new drama.
If you wanna leave then do it, no need to make a drama about it and pretend to be something different. I have been here since 2008, I could care less for a game. I barely log in into the game and most of the time my team is helping me.
Mark said he can't be bothered to push when he doesn't feel ready about it, and yet again he was totally ok with pushing. He worries about letting team down so he quits from the team, and then he says his best friend and mentor its back in the game so he wants to play with him.
Then he pulls another amazing act by saying Im playing Warcraft with my son and dont wanna play Gpro. I am a part time gamer, I play Wow, LoL, Fifa, Warzone and many more but thats not a reason to quit on Gpro.
He wanted to leave, I knew that in mid season. I told the guys he will pull a last minute stunt on us and he did. So much about letting the team down.
Rafal it's not the guy to start a drama at all, wonderful guy and a wonderful father. He has been very supportive to the team since first day I joined them. Rafal its just the voice of the rest of the team cuz everyone in the team is feeling same way.
We knew exactly what Mark was going through and we all showed our support and discussed it. Mark was ok with that, but that kind of attitude it is not my type of saying things. I have always been clear to my friends in life and work. When I dont like something or wanna express my feeling I dont spin around to make my point.
he wanted to leave fine he can, it is his right. But don't come and tell me, Yeah Im ok with whatever you guys are doing, lets do this, and then you sent us a PM I dont wanna be bothered to push. So Im leaving cuz my buddy is back?
Come on Mark, you of all should know better mate.
As for your wife, may god give her strength and to you as well.
Quote ( Mark McTaggart @ September 18th 2020,10:28:02 ) i told you mid season of my plans, you had half a season, now you come in here crying over split milk, Sorry pal, you said you were thinking to leave then we said we can take care of you and you were fine with that. We dont do that split milk thing over here.
Quote ( Mark McTaggart @ September 18th 2020,10:28:02 ) you sucked the life (fun) right out of it and it got to the point it was leave because im not enjoying this or retire because i cant be bothered. No one ever sucked the fun out of it, we asked kindly about it, and everyone was ok with that. Do you want me to screenshot pictures of you guys being ok with that or what?
Dont make excuses man, you didnt like the team, or didnt fit in. That's it, there is nothing bad with that as everyone has a different mindset in the game. But dont do this , you guys made me quit thing. No one ever said anything to anyone.
The only guy who kept moaning was Daniel Comalada and I asked him to leave the team as he was mocking everyone and Gui knows better than you, trust me.
Quote ( Dean Francis @ September 18th 2020,11:43:43 ) The Victorious family are very active on skype and in the forums. Dean we have an active whatsapp group and skype as well. And some of them are old members as well. And its not just gaming it is also sharing moments from our daily life and so on. Mark wasn't part of any of it and that's not our fault. Your claim it is not right at all.

You Ignition chaps really don't know how to quit digging your hole do you? Do tell, who was the chop who chose to hang out all the dirty laundry in the forums in the first place? Was it Mark? Your lack of attention to that basic detail is a joke, I'm sorry good sir, but your little rant just serves to vindicate Mark and other managers commenting about the going's on at ignition, if anything, and not earn you or your team any browny points at at all.
Not a very good look you guys have painted for yourselves at Ignition and you honestly have only yourselves to blame at this point.

But in this case he did start the drama. We had no intention of making this case public. Can we just carry on with our lives now? There's a season about to start now.

This is not an appropriate response.

Guess it's not unusual that people lash out at small things these days.
