umm thats kinda where your wrong... if they have a low score.. there are obviously other people scoring points.. its more about how many contenders

If that's the case then how do you define contender? There are a handful of contenders to win races in my group (out of the regular 15 or so that race most of the time), but most of them will likely end in negative numbers financially. It's relatively easy to win races if you want to go all out, but you'll burn so much money that you may not promote (or likely will not be successful if you do).

So is it contending for wins or for promotion that makes one a contender?

if you go on to money and car levels you can tell who is going all out and who you wont have to worrry about because of negativity.. my car is lvl 4 almost level 5.. but i have tonnes of cash, i for sure am a contender in my group.. the contenders really.. at this stage are peope with around 20 points or higher with a fiar bit of money to play with.. dont count them out just yet..

going off topic a little here, I think my rookie group 134 is one of the hardest. Last race, I lost by 10 minutes!!! The winner won by 1 and a half minutes. That's absurd.

It's likely that this can be attributed to your relative inexperience, and your joining in the middle of the season when everyone else has developed their packages for the season.

I'd suggest you spend the rest of this season reading around and experimenting to see what you might need to do to become more competitive for the start of next season.

There are very few tough rookie groups, really. If we're strictly talking about tough to win, then obviously Roca with his near perfect-for-rookie driver is nigh on impossible to beat. If we're talking about tough to promote from, then I don't think there is such a group.

Well, this season I dunno, but it sure has to be something like my S16 Rookie-129 group..

11 contenders was more than average, out of which 2/3 failed every race.. so 8/9 players a race?

What are you trying to say with this statement? Only 5 managers in your group have level 4 cars, and only 2 have a positive balance. That is a relatively weak group in comparison to mine using your own methods of assessment; my group has 8 managers with level 4+ cars (mine is 2 CCPs short of being level 5, Roca's about 4-5 CCPs short of level 5), and only 1 has a negative balance.
I reckon the best way to assess the easiest/hardest Rookie groups would be on the relative performances of the managers once they hit Amateur level; how many promote to Pro, retain Amateur, relegate back to Rookie. Even that isn't the best manager given that you get similar threads to this one at Amateur level.

Strongest/Weakest is only important with regards to Elite and Master levels; that is where the game is at.

For the weakest rookie group, I would look at the slowest race time needed for the top 4, averaged throughout the season. Obviously, you would also have to filter out ppl who will end up in negative.

It's impossible to tell for sure, but based on last race R223 is definately "up there". 1h39:49~ was enough for 4th place, which would equal 10th place in my not very spectacular group. That's pretty terrible I think.
