Hi, Im Michael Canyon Drebert,

I come from a family of racers I raced quarter Midgets at the age of 6 Jimmy Vasser Lived across the street from me we use to play together he had two sisters Vicky and Candy and Jim Sr said I should race in Jimmy's class and that's were it all started, of course today Jimmy's got way better sponsership. My brother Mark raced AMA CMC toured all over the country he's got a room just for his trophy's lol me I toured the planet over 4 times I think I mite have slowed it down a little, lol. Its great to be here at GPRO it has the sense of competition it reminds me how it is in the real world! my hats off to the Owners and developers for the job they have done keep it up Boys!!! I'll see you out in the field and good luck everybody.

Hi Jake, Welcome to the game, I'm Michael from the west coast of America I have a Lotus and I just started two races before the new season lucked out timing, I'm having way too much fun. I'm Looking for a Team either to Join or to create and since i'm not even an amateur I really only have one choice and that's to join a team already in progress.

A recommendation, if I may: use your real name, lest ye find yourself in trouble with what counts as the law around here.

I changed it under account settings but still not updated anywhere else.

Now I've seen this I'll take care AFTER post race update. But anyone changing the name at Account Settings can read this at the top of the page:

Once your account has been approved changing your name won't have any effect on your in-game name. It is recommended to use only your First and Last name (no middle names) although this is not a requirement. However accounts with fake names will not be approved by the administrator.

So anyone that has updated the name there needs to notify (by PM) an admin or me in order to get the modification implemented.

Welcome to the looney house Kevin :)

Hi everyone, my name is Stefan, I am German and located in the UK.
Hope to get the grips of this game soon, it looks really cool so far!

Can I ask a question here? If yes, what exactly will I keep forever as a manager?
The car?
The staff?
The facilities?
Just want to be sure that investments in the above are not lost like investments in the driver (who will leave after contract is over).

If not, where can I ask this? Haven't seen anything about this and am afraid to open a new thread :)

Welcome Stefan.
If you promote to Amateur you will keep your car levels, S&F (be aware the facilities do decay over time), CCPs from testing (again they also decay), etc.

If however you stay in Rookie, everything is reset back to the level you have now. L1 car, etc.

To keep your driver in Rookie he must be 85OA or below at the end of the season.
If you promote you ONLY need your driver back to 110 OA to do the driver extension. The rest of the time he can be over that.
Good luck
Cheers

Hi Stefan, welcome to the game. Plenty of info inside the forum that you can search and get a good read.
As a start, this is the basic you need to know: /gb/GPRONoobGuide.asp

With regard to your question, in short, they all go increase when you invest on them, or else, they depreciate.
Meaning, you basically do not keep the abovesaid forever as manager :)

Thanks for your quick replies.
Shame that investments in the car, staff and so on are lost as a rookie.
I will really need to look at this strategically now.
Hope to make some good progress.
Thanks again!

Don't worry about it.
If you stay in Rookie you start fresh with another $30 million plus a bonus $5 million if you do all 17 races this season.
So you will be actually better off.
Just use this season to train up a young driver, practice and learn.
Good luck mate

I am new here, but totally fresh to browser F1 manager games. I played in [Blacklisted] for some seasons some years ago. lets hope I can remember some of my old rusty, shitty skills and apply them here ;D

Hello to all from "Villeneuveland"! Bonjour! Still trying to get to grips with the subtleties of this game. :)

I didn't think I'd be but I'm hooked after 2 races.
