It's either Road America or Road Atlanta I like, I always get them mixed up, so I might know the track for a change.

Seeing as we can't possibly delay the race at all, couldn't we cut quali to 5 minutes to get some extra practice time in? Not like we need 10 minutes to do two laps.

Stephen, Pro Tip:
You have this whole week to practice. Use half an hour every day to practice. 5 mins on Sunday is like fucking yourself in the ass, it's just dumb and pointless.
So please, for the sake of our rage, do more practice before Sunday.

5 minutes extra practice on a laptime around 1:45-1:55 or whatever people may do, is going to give you about 2 extra timed laps.

Server session times are already done thanks to Chris, it's kind of a hassle to re-do them for the sake of a pretty pointless 5 minute switch, not to mention session lengths have been this way all season long, without any complaints.

Don't forget we have practice, warmup, and the server has been up all week long as well, and will be up all morning tomorrow too.

Practice on my own is booooring. I'd rather not race than have to do 50 laps by myself.

And, to be honest, I'm not sure if I'll be free to race anyway, supposed to go out drinking at 3pm.

Was just an idea, I'm not trying to provoke a revolution here. Really like the single lap quali, tbh.

Considering you'll always get at least someone (probably me) turning up without proper preparation, and you might have Aran on the grid tomorrow, then I'd say any practice is generally a good idea.

Quali just seems rather long when there isn't any traffic and you can only do 1 flying lap?

Didn't realise it would be hard to change, assumed it would be like changing the race distance. Maybe people could just get their laps done early on rather than pointlessly sit in the pits.

oh, and Steph, just a tip: drop the lolaids, learn 2 dirve without them and you'll find out that the cars so much awesome to drive, that 20-30mins of practise by yourself during the week before the race actually becomes an attractive option. :o

This.

I guess we have the 10min just for the cases when someones connection/game fails so that he can rejoin the quali in time (see Parker @ Detroit).

I try to drive without the aids, and in slower cars I can usually handle manual gears, but in quicker cars I just find myself in a total muddle.

Now that was a time good wasted.

Couldn't match Pavel's and Can's pace at all in the 1st stint. I thought they were on 2 stop strategy but bah. Just when I was pitting, My rear right went on kerb in that fast lefthander under the bridge, lost it and went to a wall to lose a front wing.

I knew running even a centimetre wide in that place will cause spin but I just suck so fucking bad I had to do it. Then when pitting I accidentaly pressed pit limiter twice and got stop and go. After couple laps I repeated running slightly wide in same place, causing a lost front wing again I just decided to quit.

Sorry David about the hit in the beginnin, had troubles in braking into that corner for maybe 10 laps. :/

lol same here. Retarded mistake. :s

Had a poor start, but people crashed each other out during the first few laps so was on 2nd place, then they fixed the mistake and just passed me, one by one.

Was sixth when had the double pit, dropped to 7th, then rest of the time I was just chasing Will and really gave in everything I had, at one point he spun --> me through but managed to spin immediately after that.

Was like within a second coming to the last lap, was planning to make a move at the final corner but went wide the corner before that, ah well 5th is good. Car was great with full tank, was able to take it to the limit easily.

ps Can, next time make very sure not to whinge about something pointless when I'm racing within 0,2 seconds from Will. ffs.
