Potentially yes...though I'd probs get the train I reckon! Which Uni are you at James?

I’m at Bolton, I was thinking of getting the train too, but they seemed a bit pricey? £80 each way was the prices I was getting.

Shall we do Nottingham/Derby instead then? I was planning on driving as I am still not comfortable travelling via public transport haha

Most likely go there Fri night/Sat morning/afternoon depending on interest, and then either go to a pub and just chill and watch Jeff Stelling/F1 Qualifying or go bowling/karting if there are enough people. Then night, we can either go out for food, or I was thinking of Airbnbing a house and everyone stay there instead. We can chill and play drinking board games or something of that interest. Sunday will be the big find of finding a pub that will play the F1 race, and then home after the F1 race :)

If anyone else has other ideas, lemme know :D

So I make that:

Jun
Me
Wayne
Reece
James

Means we have space for 1 other maximum to join...not sure how Matt Standen feels about Nottingham, but personally I'm well up for it :)

Haven't looked back through thread, what dates do you have in mind, I have a couple of long weekends away that haven't officially been cancelled.

I found this one which is cheap and close to the centre:

https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/43823475?adults=6&check_i...

£87 per person for 2 nights (Fri to Sun). If everyone agrees, I can book with my own money and people can pay me back whenever in the next couple of weeks :)

One minor thing Jun - Wayne mentioned he was bringing Reece...so that would make 7 people including everyone you've tagged there?

Also that property has 5 double beds...who are you envisioning will be sharing a bed???

EDIT - Otherwise it looks good though :)

I dont mind being on the couch lol. There aren't any places in Derby that had 6 bedrooms that is relatively cheap lol.

And yes I forgot about Reece, sorry! Is he of legal drinking age?

Oh is it Derby or Nottingham? I'm happy either way tbh...Nottingham was where I looked though and there were plenty of places for 6 people with 5 bedrooms and 6 beds (figure Wayne and Reece can share a room, though probs not a bed!) :)

We can do Nottingham... I just saw James' comment up top where he looked for tickets to Derby rather than Nottingham that's all. Nottingham is a little closer to me than Derby, but I can do either.

Supposed to be going to Budapest on 25th October for half term/sons birthday and although it's very unlikely to happen given latest restrictions on both sides, I can't commit to anything else it as it stands. If dates change or I get confirmation on Budapest before this is full I'm certainly up for it.

If all else fails I can get to either Derby or Nottingham for the Saturday to meet up for a few beers anyway.

(In terms of what's closest)

Jun = Nottingham
Jon = Derby
James = Derby
Wayne & Reece = Nottingham

James has a strong preference for Derby and both you, Wayne & Reece have said Derby is acceptable - so recommend going for Derby :)

EDIT - Though that said, given the difficulties with going out for e.g. drinks etc. I'd recommend looking for a really good place, even if it's not near a city centre :)

I found this, and it looks really nice. A bit far from Derby, but if we are just going to chill at the house during nights, then it should be cool :D

4 beds mate???

Think you need to set parameters for:

5 guests
5 beds
4 rooms

As minimum...
