No it's not. I've played plenty of text based games.

If they add sound to this game, would it look better or not?

That because you are not the winner. LOL

So do I. I just suggest for better game experience. That's all

Sound would get really boring and annoying really fast. A constant engine sound is all it would be, either from just one car, the one you're watching, or from several cars around too.

Annoying and completely unnecessary. It's perfectly good without engine sound.
What other sounds would you be wanting to add?

Alright, picture this:

What if... a very rough weather estimate was available for the next race? It would change the weather from an almost completely random factor into something you can actually make (good or bad) plans for.

sorry explain yourself, as im confused, you sound like what you have suggested (more random weather) and your explanation less random plans can not co-exist?

the way I see it the weather is rough estimate, and plans can be made, good or bad.

secondly if the weather was more random these plans could not really be made it would just be a shot in the dark, that you could not change mid race when you find out its 40 and not wet

EDIT, I think I get you, as in the next as opposed to this coming race?

EDIT 2 @Graham Mercer cheers was just coming to that conclusion

I think that he is talking about the next race, not the current race.
So that you have an indication of what the weather at the next race will be, one race in advance.

Weather is random though.

I was advised by a friend to bring a coat for my trip to Germany the other week. They'd had rain for the last week or two and when i checked the forecast a week before, it said the same thing. I expected a day of sunshine at most.

Every day barring 15 minutes of drizzle was 25°C and sunny

Not saying it's always like this but its as good as not knowing

In terms of the game. Imagine the followed this model and you took extra risk this race because next race you expected rain. Only for it to be really really dry - The mechanic itself would throw people off more than it'd help them

Small suggestion to improve readability on the Race Analysis screen.... instead of the green B besides the first boost lap, colour all the boost laps green and lose the B.

If you need a key add Boost in Green to the frame at the bottom below the lap counter

I don't see an advantage in 1 race, 1 season is something else but then will everyone in the higher leagues probably go for the same tyre. On the other hand it will make planning of the next season better.

The B was added precisely to improve readability (for visually impaired users).

However I would be in favour of leaving the B in the source code but making it invisible (like it is done in other places such as sponsor stats).

About showing all laps or just one, I think the ideal situation would be to show all the laps that actually happened. Currently it shows your settings from Race Setup and it is up to you to figure out if the boost took place or not. Showing all three laps as boost laps by default, even if they didn't actually happen, could be even more misleading than the current situation.

Only as a secondary result after an even more crazy marked madness to find the driver that suits the weather ;)

However I can understand Thijs' suggestion to have some weather info on next race (the one after upcoming). Personally I would love to see it implemented, but gamewise I don't think it would be a good idea (especially with rain).

I just went to upgrade my commercial facilities to level 30.

I selected it and it automatically performed a staff train as the button was immediately selected after selecting the level upgrade.

Given that everything down to R&D Workshop drops down...can we have it that everything beneath it also drops down instead of up? Then this can't happen. Not that i'm too bothered at having wasted whatever money it was on whatever staff training was automatically applied, but I'd rather the potential was not their for it to happen again. If engineering workshop, alloy chemical lab and commercial facilities all drop down then it can't happen - or if the selection for each level is over to the right, instead of right over the staff train button.

cheers.

@Stuart Foster (A86) I assume that this is a browser issue, or perhaps a screen size issue?
Using chrome all of those windows drop down not up, regardless of the browser window size.

Vlad, do you have statistics of the percentage of players who log in to GPRO from mobile device?
I wanna ask you to consider making a mobile-version (one column) of the site to automatically show it when mobile device is detected. How difficult it is from a programming point of view?

I use GPRO on my phone maybe 90% or more of the time. I don't think a mobile version would be helpful as so many areas may end up in sub folders off the screen, that are relatively easy to navigate as they are.

I use mobile a lot and I just zoom in and out. I like to see all information as quickly as possible and zooming feels easier than adding additional clicks, submenus and/or scrolling.

So, if a mobile version is made, please make it possible to turn that off :P

More complex than you think.
Tablets are also recognised as mobile devices yet they have very different screen resolutions so it could be a complex problem perhaps?

Just as a suggestion for next season, how about 1 point for fastest lap in rookies? and maybe amateurs? kinda like what they do in F1. It might make it more interesting and closer battles on the Track and end of season relegation.

Sorry if has been suggested before.

Improvements within team forums.
If you are to have a 'sister' team, instead of finding an external forum to use for communications. Why not allow this to happen within GPRO?

Both teams get to keep the info?
So a "new" forum would be formed that belongs to neither and both and can either stay separate or be merged into solo Team forum if a break-up happens.
