So, wirh so many proposed changes being made in the regulations, I am sure that it is going to shake things up. Which team do you guys think will have a strongest package and why ??? What about actually waiting for teams line-ups at first ? :D
Cause it has nothing to do with the drivers. The top drivers are pretty close. It's all about Newey vs Brawn about who's got the best car. Yes, some teams have won a championship a season or two after they've left, but they've quickly dissapeared into wilderness afterwards, ala Ferrari/Williams etc but generally, F1 has been a two horse race between Brawn and Newey for over 2 decades now.

No. ROSS BRAWN dominated between 2000-2004. The same he did when at Renault. And the same way he will pretty soon again. There's a very simple reason why Michael Schumacher has refused to driver for any team not headed by Brawn since his championship wins in Renault. It was even a pre-requisite of his move to Ferrari.

How does that change anything about the previous 20 years and Brawns achievements.
Go google the Championship winning cars for the last 20-25 years and look who the names behind those cars are. Outside of maybe 5 seasons, it's all Newey and Brawn.

It's gotta be either Mercedes or Ferrari, because they're able to create their engine around their chassis, while for instance Williams. They will use Mercedes' engine, but they can't make a car and put the engine inside, they have to see what the engine is like and then create the car around it,but in Ferrari's case, they can make their car first and THEN make the engine. It might seem like a load of rubbish, but it does make sense.

true, but I do believe that Red Bull have special priviledges with Renault with regard to their engine development. Horner has said himself recently that they have close contact with them. I think the same will be true for McLaren with Honda aswell. So...Alonso has to leave Ferrari in 2015 imo.

He has alluded to that on several different occasions in the past.

hmm yes, might get interesting if Renault throw some investment in the diretion of Enstone and with it the possibility of a works-style support. Given the financial situation there, it has to be a possibility and it seems quite possible that it might happen. Wonder what would happen then for Red Bull's (so-called) close ties to renault.

yup, Mclaren will be the same place next season as this one, unless Perez is given the boot and someone comes in who can outperform the car.

true enough...I'm sure Renault have some nice incentives with their supply to Red Bull.

Gut feeling say Mclaren. Ron Dennis will hate being this far back this year and will want to win to rectify it. Also I'd say they wrote off this year a long time ago so will have been developing next years car for quite a while, where as the others won't have started until much later.
Although when I say started developing of course all the teams will have started developing since it's such a huge change, but most teams will still be looking at trying to get a better result in the current championship

I'd love to see Mclaren back at the front sooner, but my gut feeling is that with the honda engines coming in 2015, investment and development on next year's car - while still sporting a merc engine - will be limited and that Mclaren will pump more into having a potentially super strong 2015, rather than piss in the wind next season, so to speak. 2 season's of pain may not be too much of a price to pay if the honda deal lives up to it's billing.....
.....if.....
