Hey there one and all.
I am Jake, the host of the GPRO World Cup, and I'm happy to announce that the game will be taking a break to make way for a SPECAIL WORLD CUP EDITION
This game will be bigger than all the preceding seasons (I hope) and to mark the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil I'm throwing DOUBLE PRIZE MONEY your way compared to last seasons of the GPRO WC.

So what makes this season different?
To start off, qualifying will be removed from this game so sadly there is a limit to the number of players, but it is set at 64 (63 because I'm taking part too). What you would expect in the past is that you as an individual would use your GPRO race results to propel your way to the final and win there, NOT THIS TIME.
This time you will chose to represent ONE of the THIRTY-TWO participating countries in this years World Cup. You will then be given a team-mate to help you on your way to world cup glory.
Do we have to sign up any differently?
Yes, but only just. You hit the same old "#JOIN" but this time you NEED to select a country to represent. Do not worry, you can select any country you like, even if you aren't from that country.
Another thing is that the deadline is RACE 1 of Season 42 to sign up since the first of the group matches will take place then. Another is that in past seasons there were unlimited spots, but sadly there are only 32-64 players that can play this game (two players on 32 teams)
ALL 32 teams MUST be taken up and you CAN take part in a team by yourself.
How does the scoring work?
The scoring works the same way as normal, only both your scores will be added together and divided by 2 to create an average.
the formula is: 41 - (GPRO position)*(group weight(look below)) / 10 ->rounded to nearest whole number
this will then apply to your team-mate and the total divided by 2 to get that average.
EXAMPLE: 41 - 4th place = 37
37 * (pro manager = 1.7) = 62.9
62.9 / 10 = 6.29
6.29 -> 6
6 is your race score.
Are there any prizes?
You betcha, however the reward for 1st in qualifying will be gone since there is no qualifying, so there will be prizes as follows:
-€0.4 for each player on each team out in the QUARTER FINALS
-€0.8 for each player on the team who finishes 4th place
-€1.2 for each player on the team who finishes 3rd place
-€2.5 for each player on the team who finishes runner up
-€5.0 for each player on the team who wins the World Cup
-€1.0 for the Golden Boot winner (player who scores the most points)
-€1.0 for the player of the tournament (decided by me, also the prize WILL NOT go to me)
