I dont know if this has been suggested before but on the players profile would it be possible to include a section for what languages said player can speak or read, just to make it easier for team selection instead of players getting request from team in languages they dont understand.

I guess it wouldn't hurt, and it certainly has positives :) I like it.
E: Although I don't see much wrong with dropping a quick PM to ask

Or we could just use this thread for this. But it really would help. For example to identify the people that can´t speak English and separate them from the ones that just choose to be inactive :P

As long as they're all done by their original country of origin, I'd be fine. Wouldn't want a New Zealander stealing our role.

This could be a good idea. Will lead to less frustration I'm sure :D

I would rather suggest such a working language feature for teams and their profiles and a filter function for players who are looking for a team.
I can remember that when I was looking for a team and I was checking all the teams with free spots and "looking-for-members" status, most of them were having an english name but a klingonian profile . It has been a mess to find a suitable team that's using a language that I can understand.
It would also help all those players who can't speak english but want to find a team in their language. It's hard to find an xyz speaking team if they all use english team names.

Here I like Bert's suggestion a lot more. If you want to join a team, you should send them a letter anyways, it's auto-reject if no message was sent and only applied. But if every team can select their main language and we could sort by that, this would be good.

I don't see the point in the OP with regard to people joining teams as surely there is communication between manager and team before any application is approved anyway?
I like Bert's suggestion though. Team being able to list their primary language and this being searchable would be a big help for non-English speakers.

I only planted a seed of a suggestion but Bert's suggestion does seem a lot better than my original idea.

This feature would have been very helpful to Gaurav before he joined the croatian tiam.
