Rain is not all what matters when it comes to weather. After the test last season, temperatures will have a bigger role this edition. How hot do you believe a season can be? * You can join posting ## Join at this thread. You can also join Team Competition in teams of 2 managers posting ## Join and the team's name. The score system would be the same, so make sure your team mate doesn't miss the round ;)
* Players need to send a PM with 2 sets of predictions: Rain related (in the rounds where rain prediction is considered) and Temperatures related
* Rain predictions need to contain the nature of the event (rain starting/stopping) and the lap of the occurrence.
* Temperatures predictions need to contain the number of the lap only. The lap that will be considered will be the FIRST lap where the temperature reaches maximum or minimum. The nature of the event (maximum or minimum temperature in the race) will be pre-set and announced by one of the co-hosts the day after the previous race (Wednesday or Saturday)
* There won't be a Rain related round in races starting dry and that have 0%-10% rain probability for the 2hs race forecast or that have 0%-10% rain probability for the first 1.5 hours when Elite qualy times suggest the race would last upto 1.5 hours. Hosts reserve themselves the right to consider exceptions to this rule.
* You can send your prediction by PM only until 20CET race day :) this season ALL PREDICTIONS will be taken by my Co-Host Christos Bobolis /NewMail.asp?IDM=165254, who showed he could be a good slav during last edition.
Points System for Rain related Rounds
4 multiplier points max per round, 4 events max per round
* If 4 events occur, 4 points/4 events = 1 multiplier point per event
* If 3 events occur, 4 points/3 events = 1.3333 multiplier points per event
* If 2 events occur, 4 points/2 events = 2 multiplier points per event
* If 1 event occurs, 4 points/1 events = 4 multiplier points per event
* Every event predicted that doesn't occur in races where there are events: -1 point. The negative points stop having effect when the player's score reaches 0 (no negative points)
* Predicting No Rain/Rain not Stopping and being right: 4 points
* Predicting No Rain/Rain not Stopping when there are events: 0 points
* Predicting Events in No Rain/Rain not Stopping races: 0 points
* Not sending prediction: 0 points
To avoid confusions, the distribution table that corresponds with the lap difference according the total number of laps of the race will be posted before the race. The distribution will be directly proportional, and value for the lap difference will be multiplied by the event multiplier value.
Examples:
* L26 - L56 and you predict L26 - L56: 2 + 2 = 4 points
* L26 - L56 and you predict L26 - L56 - L60: 2 + 2 - 1 = 3 points
* L26 - L56 and you predict L26 - L56 - L60 - L70 = 2 + 2 - 1 - 1 = 2 points
* L26 - L56 and you predict L26: 2 points
* L26 - L56 and you predict No Rain/Rain not Stopping: 0 points
Using Spa
Imagine the rain starts/stops at lap 22 and you guessed lap 24. The lap difference is 2 so: 44-2 = 42 Then, 42/44 = 0.954 points for that round. 0.954 will be multiplied by 1, 1.3333, 2 or 4, depending of the number of events
Points System for Temperature Rounds
Same system as for Rain related rounds, but multiplier will be 2 for all cases as only 1 event will be predicted.
