Now, I will begin the teasing..........

It appears that the spending was not balanced in the final 2 races - meaning that one race saw much more SRS spent and the people that spent in the other race will be quite happy with the results!

RACE 17 RESULTS

FINAL SEASON STANDINGS

Congratulations to Stefan G. who takes his first title. In what was the closest deciding tie-breaker in SRS history, Stefan just barely nipped Josh C. Each player had 2 wins and a 2nd place, but it was Stefan's 3rd place in Race 6 that decided it.

This season saw a reverse to the previous season as there is a high spending in Race 16. In order to be able to claim the title, Stefan needed a lot of things to go right and they all happened.

Both Goran S. & Josh C. had a chance at the title but lost it when they went for the Race 16 all-in. The most fortuitous break which allowed Stefan to claim the title was the fact that Igor A. inexcplicably spent ALL of his SRS in Race 16 when just 73 SRS was needed for the win

Stefan's winning points total of 62 points equals the lowest winning score in SRS history (Jun H. also had 62 in S7). In general, this season generally favoured those who saves and then spent big. After struggling for several seasons in SRS-B, Stefan has now achieved an 8th last season and a win this season.

Well done to Josh C. (2nd) & Goran S. (3rd) who finish the season on the podium! For Josh, he will be disappointed by losing such a close tie-breaker. It is his 2nd career podium finish with a 3rd place in the inaugural SRS season. This is Goran's best finish but I'm sure he will be frustrated by how things unfolded in the latter half of the season. Also notable is how close Kyle M. was able to get to the title at the end - The big spending in Race 16 actually helped Kyle out overall as he was able to score in both of the final races.

Relegation Zone
It is a tight battle to avoid relegation - El-Rahim J. & Rocco S. both saved themselves from relegation by going against the trend and spending in Race 17.

There is a 3-way tie at the edge of the relegation zone with Andreas R. barely avoiding relegation. Relegating this season are 3 former SRS champions as Noel M, Nate L. & Davi Q. are all headed to the B-League. Jim S, who has spent all 12 seasons in the top league finishes in the relegation zone. He may still stay in SRS-A if another player happens to retire.

FINAL TEAM STANDINGS

Congratulations to Toyota who take the team title. Toyota finishes with a total of 120 points which is 4 points better than the next best team. Congrats to Josh C. & Alex B. who have taken the title in their 2nd season together!

CONGRATS to STEFAN GOMMANS , our Season 12 SRS Champion!

CONGRATS to TOYOTA , our Season 12 SRS Team Champion!

CONGRATS to KYLE MORRIS on capturing ROOKIE OF THE SEASON for Season 12 of SRS!

Thanks to everyone for joining and playing and continuing to make this game a success. Look for the Season 13 thread sometime tomorrow.

PLEASE Confirm your spot for Next Season in the NEW thread after it opens - there is no need to do that in this thread!

I have to admit that I'm really disappointed.
I really really believed that max 1 of those guys on 55 SRS (before race 16) will go all in and didn't expected Davi to go all in neither.
And something that doesn't affect my title but Josh's... that move by Igor,is really the worst move I have seen so far in this game.

But fact that makes me the most disappointed is, that my Mate didn't survived this season :( In the end, team title is priority for me and I was sure until race 14-15 that we could take it,but after I realized that Toyota will won it I was disappointed and at the end of this season maybe is that a reason that pushed me for going all-in in race 16 and try to make some small miracle.

Sorry for bothering but I felt that I need to wrote it :)

Anyway,it was a great season, full of twist... as Kevin said,it's my best season so far,but I'll search for the win in next season too,so we can continue that curse of 1 win ;)

Great game Kev,I still believe Elite Black sheep was your best game so far,but damn, this one is a great replacement for it heheh :)

And ofc,Congrats to Stef and Toyota guys for title, well deserved.

Unbelievable, that all but one person that could've out-spent me that race did.

If there isn't a second retirement I'm not sure if I'll go more than 1 season in B league...

didn't he send like 6 or 7 rounds in advance though? So, I don't think he chose that amount, just opted to go all in on Race 16 without knowing the amount he had. I was led to believe Igor had done something like that anyway.

Unlucky Jim. Who knows, maybe Kevin will abandon the B-league. I think it'd be better (imo) to have a two group single tier game, and then with a top 8 split in each or something for a "final" championship round that could be done SRS-Xrpess style :) I think it'd be better anyway for the game to not have two leagues so that players keep interested to play. If players know they have a chance to win each season without having to spend a season in a lower league, it'd keep players on the game I feel.

Anyway, many thanks again to Kevin for running the game for all these seasons, you do a great job mate. And keeping the game in exactly the same spirit when it was devised, its only really changed with minor rule tweaks.

Good luck everyone next season :)

Can't have Jim relegating, so...

#I-retire

3 seasons playing and took the B league title and A league title as well as a Team Championship. Can't grumble about that. All the best, people. :)

SEASON SUMMARY

So, how did Stefan take the title this season? Well here is the summary of SRS spent & points earned for Season 12.......

Quote ( Dominik Karda @ November 12th 2015,08:58:20 )

Does that make me the only person playing 8/10+ seasons without relegation then?

Rocco S.: 11 consecutive SRS-A seasons

Chew K.W: 11 consecutive SRS-A seasons (10 consecutive in top 20)

Dominik K: 11 consecutive SRS-A seasons (10 consecutive in top 20)

Andreas R.: 8 consecutive SRS-A seasons

ENDING THIS SEASON: Jim S. (12 consecutive in top 20)

Hopefully, everyone else will be able to return for Season 13.

I am still hoping to get the NEW season's thread open later today but it may have to wait until tomorrow.
