RACE 13 RESULTS

In Race 13, there is a season-high 6 players spending 50+ SRS including 3 of the main title contenders. Nate B. is the lucky one who comes out just on top with his 59 SRS spent. Stefan G. spent all of his SRS but came up 1 short and has to settle for 2nd place. 3rd goes to Noel M. who finally spends some of his SRS stash.

While the number of players spending was quite high at the top, the gaps are rather large from 50 down to 20 SRS resulting in a +4 SRS gain by Mick R. in the final points paying position. There are a couple of places below the points where the best SRS gains were found. 4 players achieved the best SRS gain of the race at +11 SRS.

Please note:
There is the potential for someone to suffer the DEFAULT penalty in Race 14.

SEASON STANDINGS

This may be the key race as the season nears the end. As mentioned above, the 3 title contenders who entered the race with the large SRS stacks all spent big this race. While Stefan may be disappointed that he could not grab 1st in the race, he will be happy to see that Nate L. did not go all-in this race. It appears that this decision might have cost Nate his title shot. Stefan now appears to be the favourite for the win this season. While Pedro F.'s title chances were a little slimmer than the other 2 entering the race, a conserving race in Race 13 would likely have been better for him.

Looking past those 3 players, we now see that there are 2 other contenders who greatly increased their chances at winning this season - Ethan L. & Jeremy D. Both players sit on 46 points, but Ethan holds the SRS advantage by 4 SRS. These players will need to pick the right race to spend in order to be able to catch up to Stefan at the top.

TEAM STANDINGS

Please note:
There is the potential for someone to suffer the DEFAULT penalty in Race 14.

There were many attacks on this race. We'll see lower spending on the next race or 2, before the big 2-3 final races.

I was thinking I was doing an exceptional season, but this seals the title away from me. At least I'll stay another season on the A league.

RACE 14 RESULTS

I unexpectedly have to go to work in a few hours, so unfortunately there is no real summary at this time.

However, I will quickly say that it appears that many believed that this race would follow the trend that often (BUT NOT ALWAYS) occurs where Race 14 is very low spending. OR, it was just a really high spending race by coincidence :)

Please note:
RED Text means that someone incurred the DEFAULT Penalty.

RACE 15 RESULTS

After huge spending through the points positions last race, a similar situation occurs near the top of the points, BUT in a shocking change, the spending drops off substantially for the final few points positions.

The winner of Race 15 is Josh C. for the 2nd consecutive race (I'm not sure if that has happened before) with 57 SRS spent. It is a tight battle for the next few positions as the majority of those players are spending all of their SRS. Goran S. takes 2nd place just head of his teammate Noel M. at 50 & 49 SRS respectively.

The real stars of this race, as mentioned above, are those finishing from 7th to 11th place. All of these players will be happy with the results as they achieved - scoring points and earning massive SRS gains.

Please note:
RED Text means that someone incurred the DEFAULT Penalty.

SEASON STANDINGS

Very briefly at this moment, it seems that the battle in the Final Race(s) comes down to a battle between Stefan G. & Pedro F. with Stefan clearly having the advantage. It is certainly not a guarantee as the final 2 races have seen unbalanced spending in the last couple of seasons providing opportunities to all of those with a chance.

There are two groups of players with quite slim chances that would need some ridiculous luck to take a title:

The first group includes Josh C, Chew K.W. & Jonathan B. who are just a few points off of the lead but are lacking in SRS in comparison to the leader. All of these players capitalized with scoring points in Race 15.

The second group is the trio of players on 46 points with 63/64 SRS which includes Ethan L, Nate L. & Jeremy D. It appears that all of these players may have missed the rare opportunity presented in Race 15 to have a more serious challenge for the title.

TEAM STANDINGS

Please note:
There is the potential for someone to suffer the DEFAULT penalty in Race 16 & 17.

Although, if Stefan or Pedro save in the lower spending race, the other could probably win the title.

But if Stefan and Pedro both save in Race 16, then Stefan likely wins. Hard to pick up 4 points on someone with relatively the same number of SRS.

I predict that Stefan comes up with 9 points and wins the title.

The SRS Value you send for Race 16 will also determine your value for Race 17.

There is the potential for someone to suffer the DEFAULT penalty in Race 16 which would mean they would use their Default value on Race 17 as well.

RACE 17 RESULTS

FINAL SEASON STANDINGS

Congratulations to Stefan G. who becomes the 1st person in SRS history to win a 2nd title! In doing so, he has now won 2 of the last 4 seasons. Stefan wins with a total of 66 points which is 4 better than the last time he won in Season 12.

In a similar pattern to last season, this season sees quite unbalanced spending in Race 16 & Race 17. A few of the big spenders did go all-in for Race 16, however the majority of the field conserved in Race 16.

As can be seen by the final results and examining the possibilities, Stefan certainly did not have things as easy as it appeared heading into Race 16. Fortunately for Stefan, not all events conspired against him as often happens to former Champions, so he did come away with the title. Even if Stefan had gone all-in for Race 16, it appears that he would have won a potential tie-breaker with Jeremy D.

As it turns out, if Pedro F. had chosen in the range of 11 to 13 SRS for Race 16, then the title could have been his. I also believe that it Ethan or Nathan could have somehow found that sweet spot, then they could have come away with the title. But I guess there is no need to talk about woulda & coulda because ultimately, Stefan prevailed for the win!

Stefan played the game with the classical spend and save strategym, however his all-ins are not necessarily the huge amounts - sometimes he risks it and holds some SRS back. Stefan scored 2 wins in Races 4 & 6 to go along with 2nd places in 3 races, including Race 17. The wins in Races 4 & 6 were key to his title as he was able to win those races by spending the low amounts 55 & 53 SRS respectively.

Well done to Jeremy D. (2nd) & Pedro F.(3rd) who finish the season on the podium! For both it will be disappointing to come so close to the win. It was an impressive last couple of races fory Jeremy by managing to score 19 points. It is easily Jeremy's best finish, having never before finished above 18th place. It is also Pedro F.'s best finish in his second SRS-A season.

Relegation Zone
Bad luck to those that finish in the relegation zone. Unfortunately, El-Rahim loses out in the tie-breaker to Greg T. to finish in 21st. Remarkably, 4 of the 6 relegators are former SRS Champions, including the Mick R, the defending Champion.

FINAL TEAM STANDINGS

Congratulations to Eagle and to Jeremy D. & Rocco S. who win their 1st ever Team title! It is the first time either of these players has been part of the Championship winning Team. Rocco has been a part of Eagle since it's inception all the way back in Season 2! In the end, Eagle wins the title relatively easily by a 6 point margin thanks to 25 points earned in Race 17.

CONGRATS to STEFAN GOMMANS , our Season 15 SRS Champion!

CONGRATS to EAGLE , our Season 15 SRS Team Champion!

ROOKIE OF THE SEASON for Season 15 of SRS is vacant as there were no Rookies!

Thanks to everyone for joining and playing and continuing to make this game a success. Look for the Season 16 thread sometime soon!

PLEASE Confirm your spot for Next Season in the NEW thread after it opens - there is no need to do that in this thread!
