RACE 14 RESULTS

Pedro F. takes the win with 62 SRS as winning value has been between 62 & 64 SRS for the last 6 races. The other podium positions are achieved rather cheaply as Stefan G. gets 2nd with 55 SRS and Goran S. finishes in 3rd on 52 SRS.

El-Rahim J. will be quite happy to score a 4th in his battle for the title as spending continues to drop off substantially through the upper mid-pack. There is quite a cluster of players spending on the lower end of the mid-pack who achieve small SRS gains to go along with points earned.

The best SRS gain of the race goes to Sebastian J. who scores a +11 SRS gain which is one better than 5 other players.

SEASON STANDINGS

It would appear that the title battle will come down to the one of the top 3 at this point. Of course other possibilities could occur, including Marcus P. or Josh C. somehow scoring a couple of wins.

As usual, the FINAL Results will come tomorrow by about this time at the latest (I hope!)

Can anyone catch Bernadus at the top? Bernardus is at 63 points which has been enough to claim the title in 4 of 16 previous seasons. I would imagine that it will be difficult for him to score anymore points unless there is unbalanced spending and he picks the right race.

El-Rahim J. & Nate B. seem to both have the equal chance to catch the leader but it will be awfully close. It may require unbalanced spending, but I think that they could also do it with even spending - it is difficult to say.

TEAMS TITLE

A reminder that the WINNING TEAM will be rewrded with a season worth of credits compliments of PETEE WEBSTER!

Alfa Romeo looks poised to take the team title for the 2nd time as they sit just 2 points back of Red Bull Racing and have an extra 14 SRS. However, things can change dramatically with the final SRS values submitted. McLaren is in with a good chance as well as they search for that ever elusive 1st Teams trophy...

RACE 17 RESULTS

FINAL SEASON STANDINGS

Congratulations to Bernardus M. who wins his 1st SRS title! After 2 seasons, once again have a first time winner. Bernardus took over the lead in Race 6 and never looked back. His 12 consecutive races in the lead to end the season ties Henri E. all the way back in Season 1 who did the same thing.

This season sees a relatively balanced final 2 races with a slightly higher number in Race 16. However the majority of the larger SRS stacks spent big in Race 16 including the 2 of the 3 biggest. There were a few players who did miss out on the points in Race 16 including Marcus P. spending 42 SRS and getting no return on that investment.

Bernardus won this season, successfully using a mid-pack strategy that saw him go all-in close to it quite often. There were only 2 races that he spent less than 20 SRS this season with his lowest value being 15 SRS spent. I'm pretty confident that would likely be a record among winners. Bernardus begun the season with an all-in that only earned 6 points but things quickly improved. Race 2 & Race 4 were key to the win as he earned 9 points using 29 SRS for Race 2 and in Race 4 earned 8 points for 31 SRS.

Well done to El-Rahim J. (2nd) & Nate B.(3rd) who finish the season on the podium! Both of these players have played SRS for 14 seasons and this is the first podium for both of them. Too bad they couldn't find a way to score more points in the final races. Given the spending, only Nate B. had a mathematical shot at the title and would have needed to spend 1 or 2 SRS in Race 16 to do it.

Relegation Zone
Unfortunately for those in the relegation zone, it is time to test SRS-B which is sometimes even more difficult to master. It is bad luck to see both Ligier players, Nate L. & Dominik K. relegate this season. What will happen to Ligier and it's SRS-best 3 Team trophies? Also, we see another former champion relegating in Noel M, leaving just Stefan G. as a former champion in SRS-A. Although, it does look like at least 2 former champions will be promoting from SRS-B.

FINAL TEAM STANDINGS

Congratulations to Alfa Romeo and to Bernardus M. & Pedro Fr. who win Alfa Romeo's 2nd Team title! The last time Alfa Romeo won was all the way back in Season 3. This is the 1st team title for both Bernardus & Pedro.

CONGRATS to BERNARDUS MAY , our Season 17 SRS Champion!

CONGRATS to ALFA ROMEO , our Season 17 SRS Team Champion!

CONGRATS to MATHEUS BATISTUSSI on capturing ROOKIE OF THE SEASON for Season 17 of SRS!

Thanks to everyone for joining and playing and continuing to make this game a success. Look for the Season 18 thread sometime soon!

PLEASE Confirm your spot for Next Season in the NEW thread after it opens - there is no need to do that in this thread!

Race 16 was incredibly cruel... and the unthinkable happened :/

Oh well, Ligier legacy will (hopefully) continue in SRS-B and then back into SRS-A :D

Its just part of the process. Win the title... relegate to refresh my perspective on the game... then come back to SRS A ready to win another title.

Maximum amount of points I could've gotten in the last 2 races :( 7th in my return is still pretty good, hoping for better

Again did something different and it worked but every single round it was rare that you could score points with less than 20 so hardly any gains if you scored points was a tight season

Grats Bernardus, once you got the big lead early there was no stopping you

wow!! With Kevin's suspense I thought that I wouldn't get the first place.

I was lucky in some races and successfully explored this 30-40 SRS gap. I guess there won't be a gap to be explored next season.
I hope not to be struck the winner's bad luck and get relegated to SRS-B.

Thanks :)
and thanks Pedro Freire for helping me to lift the team trophy.
