To be fair i think Rosberg did not deserve to win the world championship based on driver ability...the only reason he won was because of the superior car he was driving compared to the rest of the field.

Pretty much sums it up I reckon. Don't want to say that he didn't deserve the world championship, but also at the same time, I think you can't not say that he was only able to win it because of his dominant car, rather than his ability.

Jacques Villeneuve was a worse Champion. Only won in a dominant Williams and because Frank Williams was backing him rather than Frentzen.

And even in a dominant Williams he nearly lost out to the inferior Ferrrari of Schumacher.

At BAR he got beaten by drivers we would all consider non-champion material, while Rosberg has had and beaten some bigger names in his career.

The 2008 Championship of Hamilton was also a total fluke and undeserving. From Monaco 2008 (where Hamilton lost his front wing after a driver error, made a strategy change and a pit stop, and then a Safety Car popped up that gifted him the lead), over Hungary 2008 (Massa's engine blowing up in lead) and Singapore 2008 (Crashgate),

You also can't really use a "Only won with 1 team" as a sign of someone being the worst Champion if that someone only had 2 teams and one of them was never capable of winning a race.

Disappointed that he ran away from defending it. I certainly wouldn't describe his retirement decision as "brave".

How can you be the worst at anything if you win the Championship ?

He did what he needed to do and fair play to him because lets face Lewis is a better driver but Nico did a class act and kept him where he wanted him, yes Lewis was unlucky at times so was Nico in other seasons. And it must not be nice knowing you are 2nd best for the team.

Villeneuve +1

But don't forget that in 2008, McLaren got extra penalties on races, because of Coughlan-gate. See Magny-Cours. So really don't know what I should think about that season.

You know what, I give up, there is no reasoning with a salty, triggered Brit. No. FACT will ever contribute to your deluded opinions. I thought that GPRO players are somewhat samrter than the average 13yo,guess I was wrong...

Don't rate us all from your opinion of Keeble... he is a tool. He's just baiting and you're biting, not the other way around. The majority of Brits on here dislike Hamilton so also leave the flag out of it. While not the best, the F1 community on here is generally level headed, if you leave out the trolls.

I agree with this. Only got a championship in a dominant car and Frentzen was treated like shit. Nearly lost to Schumacher, who'd lost to Hill the season prior and I don't rate Hill all that highly either... even more testament to how he nearly blew a title handed to him on a plate. Saying that, Hamilton's first few seasons went quite similarly...

I think, based in the drivers i watched that Button is not much better, maybe even worse than Nico. World Champ over Barrichelo driving with Brawn GP... And i don't agree Schumi is the best, maybe Ayrton.. PS.: I think means, that's my opinion..

Strong return, James.

With all the power unit issues and penalties that Hamilton had, its embarrassing for Rosberg that it was even close at the end.

Some people suggest James Hunt....
I am not sure he lacks talent like Rosberg.
I am not saying Rosberg is a bad racer or lacks any talent, but I cant think of a less talented World Champion.
James HUnt was "lucky" to win the title after Niki Laudas crash and recovery from the burns, but equally he didnt have the best car.

This year the winner of the title would be either Hamilton or Rosberg. Now, despite the result there is no way Rosberg is more talented than Hamilton no matter how much I dislkie Hamilton.

So, yes, for me Rosber is the least talented of all the World Champions I can remember....

Not a lot were his fault. The idiotic radio rules meant starts were a lottery. The drivers just released the clutch and hoped.

Personally I've never rated Damon Hill, so he is my worst followed by JB.

Statistically the worst is Phil Hill as he is the World Champion with the fewest career points with just 98 from 48 GPs and 8 championships.

You are right in radio rules , but anyway a 3 world champion had more then 3 time bad starts.. for me mercedes made something with clutch regulation..
more Malasia engine failure and Abu Dahbi orders.

no doubt mercedes put his finger on Nico titlle.

EDIT: hahahaha i didnt kwen that about daily lol , anyway google have a lot of this news i just get the first 1

Won only a single race, and would have surely been beaten by Pironi if he had been albe to get back in a car after his crash...

I think that Jacques Villeneuve was a really poor driver and only won because he was racing in a very strong car (FW19).

The thing is: Frentzen was apparently using the same car. Both drivers had the same number of retirements (five), Villeneuve won 7 races, Frentzen won one race and I honestly don't think that Frentzen was a bad driver.

Between Jacques and Nico I will definitely pick Nico as the worst ever.
