All you have to do in order to join the game is post "##Join (team name)", where the team name can be the name of any currently active football team (try to pick a team that everyone heard of, exceptions may be made).

Well ... not sure about how eligible it is.

Quote ( Greg Tierney @ January 7th 2017,20:45:38 )

Team eligibility

I will accept any teams that are listed as active on the Soccerway website in the past 12 months. If the team in question played at least a game of any kind (friendly, league, cup) in the last 12 months, then the team will be accepted.

This is exactly it. There were 7 spots left open in the Championship due to promotion/relegation. Another was added with Doru's retirement, so 8 were left, as Malacca promoted instead, given Hannover's change and drop to Division.

1 of the 8 spots was filled by relegation from Premier League. 4 of the remaining 7 were filled by promotions from Division. For the remaining 3, Crystal Palace was saved due to Doru's retirement (first relegating team saves themselves), and then the remaining 2 positions were filled by the other 2 playoff teams from Division, of which you were one.

Wow. Who knew managing promotions and relegations could be so hard? Anyway, I'm not complaining. :)

Also, anyone interested in playing a friendly match?

Anyone else for a friendly match?

Quote ( Greg Tierney @ January 7th 2017,20:45:38 )

Accra Hearts of Oak SC - Ghana (Łukasz Dudek)

Why would you use full team name instead of just "Hearts of Oak"? You know, the short version, the one, that sounds awesome :)

Bingo! They'll be Hearts of Oak in everything but that post, pretty much.

Some people asked that the game change as little as possible, so I'm trying to honor those wishes as much as I can within reason.

Attention !

"Pärnu Linnameeskond" changed it's name back to "Pärnu JK Vaprus" (short - Pärnu Vaprus). Would it be possible to make the change in here too ?

Changed in the long form -- if it's okay with you though, I'm going to leave it as Parnu in the short form?
