GPRO is not F1. ;)

I can barely remember to do 17 races, 21 will just make it even harder for me to re-promote :P

I like that people participate to try and make this game better, I support Stuart's opinion on post 2.

The computer sez no.

well in this case.. it's tradition now to have 17 races and its long enough to compete.. 21 is too long for OBP lol

17 sound good for me. What about have the option of two different tire (besides rain) during the race ?

It would add a bit of strategy, but overall it would be insignificant as far as the way GPRO is played. If you had direct control over the car (theoretically) then yes. But overall you would at best mix things up, but at worst make more unnecessary work for the G-crew to do.

This has been discussed many times before and simply won't happen, due to the fact that the majority would Q on XS, then run the prime tyre for the ultimate race temperature.
So it will add nothing to the game.

Plus, before you say lets have live updates........forget that as well. That won't happen due to GPRO being an international game and the different time zones.

Talking about changes, I would only suggest one:

During the live race, those managers who were online seeing the race, could/ should have a button to send/ keep the driver to / off the pits at anytime. It wouldn't allow you to change the pre-determined orders of the pit, but it would allow you to pit earlier or later, maybe even not finish the race if you don't allow your car to pit within the existant and needed fuel.

This would make the live races more active, with more people following them and it would allow small changes in strategy during the race, without giving full control to the manager, although in real life, managers do have full control of what is done during the live race.

Doesn't sound like a huge difference to how the game is played and it wouldn´t be a big unfair advantaged between those who can see the race and those who can't. Besides, the game should reward, in someway, those who watch the live race, allowing them to make small interactions in the race without giving too much dissadvantage to those who can't be online during the race.

Read my post above.
Will NEVER happen due to the unfairness created by time zone differences.
Race start for me is 4:00am ATM.
Plus do you realize that the race is not live anyway? .
It is pre-run when qualifying closes.

Actually, it could. But please take that discussion to another thread.

Ok dude. Just don't hit me anyways. Was just a suggestion. I believe you are right and I really don't know what goes on under all the programming of the game.
To me, as a nobody, doesn't make any sense to make pre-runs and not a live race, but those who work on it are the specialist and they oughtta know why they do it that way.

Now, about the unfairness of the time zone differences, it's not really the worlds fault that you live in Australia, right?! But hey, I don't mind to have the race going at 4AM in my time zone with those changes in the live race. Then, it would only depend on me if I want to take advantage of the smalll advantage of seeing the live race, or if I would go to sleep and wake up fresh in the morning.
In my 40 years, one of those things that I've learned in life, is that if you want to achieve anything, in fairness or not, you have to make sacrifices.

Nevertheless, my sugestions stays, although I was pretty sure, even before I wrote it, that it woudln't be taken very seriously for now. Maybe someday, it will be possible to evolve the game into such a participation of the manager. I still remember when the live race was just cars stopped in the main straight waitting for the time of the lap to come.
Back then, people suggest live race with cars moving and the experts said it would NEVER happen.
Now we see who was right.
Never say never.

It gives the people in the western hemisphere the greatest advantage. 8pm over there is 2 or 3pm for much of Eastern Americas (East US, Canada, The Caribbean, plus a sizeable portion of South America). It's a time zone where most people are not fatigued, have access to their computer, should be working. It's a time where the majority aren't dealing with rush hour.

More to the point, those who are watching at 8pm live have an even greater advantage (in general) as they don't have work, traffic, or other things that would be of significant importance getting in the way.

I think a lot of us would like a live version of this game but it would have to be separate from the main GPRO world. Private live leagues would be amazing.

What benefit does a 21 race season bring to the game?

The only thing it really does is line up the game with F1.... if this was the official F1 sponsored online management game that would probably be the case but ..... well someone will say it sooner or later.

In all reality changing to 21 races would bring nothing but disadvantages (longer to promote, fewer seasons, etc etc).

If the length of calendar were to be revised, I agree with the comment above .... it should be shortened rather than lengthened.

Expand to a 21-race season, and we are no different than the game GPRO split from. What's next, three races a week?

...it's the Big Opportunity to have Fundamental changes.
- But with big Respect to the History.!!!
...so the 17 races are Unmovable.
- If we want to do something about that we can Create
...a BIG Championship (SuperChamp.!!!!) of a 5 Season long.!!! (5*17=85 Races) ...or ELSE (3*17=51).!!!
...or we can muth the SuperChampion with a natural year.!!!
...to Have SChamps 2019, 2020, 2021...
