With the usual race official on a sabbatical, last year's champion has the honour of starting the race. Coming back from missing the last race entirely, Lyee Chong finally takes his first win of the season to move himself into joint second in the championship with Onur Guardian who takes 3rd place in the race. But they are still a massive 27 points behind the leader. Is this just a fight for best of the rest in the remaining five GPs?
Alex Nikodem-Wing's 2nd place means that Lyncar extend their lead in the team championship to 35 points. Again, are Shadow and Matra now simply fighting over second place or can one of them make a resurgence?

Quote ( Riley Dunlop @ January 30th 2019,23:10:18 ) The words (or even letters, but in this case, they have to be highlighted) may not be together,
I'd argue this race start is quite far into that grey area, IMO it should be at least a bit more clear if a race is actually starting

I think the point being made here is that gp is far seperated and not as defined as the rest

BAR 01 GP Results
1. Gary Harding 2. Mairo Toom 3. Jed Howorth 4. Lyee Chong 5. Alex Nikodem-Wing 6. Constantin Heller 7. Ivelin Dobrev 8. Norbert Márfi 9. Richard Robin Paukson 10. Matija Gjurčević 11. Ben Gilbert
As Gary Harding storms to his 6th win of the season he has one hand on the trophy. Indeed, if he wins the next race or finishes in the top 5 with Lyee behind him, he will wrap up the championship with three races to go! Mairo Toom and Jed Howorth complete the podium but it has no real impact on the championship as both are now out of contention.
Lyncar extend their lead to 43 points over Matra. They now only need 14 points from the next race to wrap up the team championship.
Will it all be over before the end of the next GP?
Start as you mean to go on...
