Hey guys so I remembered to play a very old game called Destruction Derby 2 and the "difficulty"levels were also Rookie, Amateur and Pro. Does this has any relation with Racing Leagues in general or is it just a way to differentiate in-game?

Epic game - I used to love Destruction Derby! Don't believe there is any correlation whatsoever - particularly given that there wasn't always a Pro category in GPRO... :)

Oh that was a game and a half! They need a 3rd one! Though we have wreckfest i suppose

I suppose it has a similarity due to promotion and relegation but yeah no relation like Jon says

The AMA and pro distinction is quite prevalent in almost all sports.

Master level is used in some to denote a more senior (usually age) level than professional.

Rookie is very commonly used to denote someone brand new.

So it's most likely just originating from very commonly used phrases

Loved that game! Especially when you got involved in a big pile-up and the commentator used to shout "WOWWW, TOTAL DESTRUCTION!!"
