Quote ( Kyle Morris @ July 21st 2019,15:18:53 ) if Jon is nervous about surviving
Confident about surviving mate - just not over-confident about promoting, given that I was in a similar position last season and missed out...

RACE 15 RESULTS
FINAL STANDINGS
Congrats to Vin S. who claims the SRS-B title this season, winning by a healthy 4 point gap. Vin began his season well by scoring 17 points in the first 2 races, followed immediately by a pair of races where he was able to score a total of 8 points while earning a total of +15 SRS. After saving for a couple of races, Vin was able to score a victory and he was well on his way to promotion by this point
Vin S. scores an SRS-B title to his resume in this 24 player season. This promotion is clearly better than the last time around, where he promoted from 8th place. He will seek to continue this form and attempt to match the 2nd place he achieved in S35 of SRS-A.
2nd place goes to a former Champion in Ivan S. This makes it 3 consecutive successful promotion attempts for Ivan as he makes this a short visit in SRS-B. The last time Ivan promoted out of SRS-B, it was followed by his victory in SRS-A in S33. Ivan will enter his 17th season of SRS-A.
3rd place goes to Richard R.P. who successfully promotes to SRS-A for the 6th time in his career. Richard will look to improve on his SRS-A form of late where he has relegated in the last 2 seasons of SRS-A. He will enter his 20th season in SRS-A where he will seek his first ever podium.
THINGS TO NOTE:
> For just the 2nd time in SRS history, there will be NO Rookies in SRS-A next season! > It is quite the unbalanced spending in the final races as 16 players go all-in or spend big in Race 14. > Unfortunately for Joachim R, Jonathan B. & Michal P/ as they could likely have promoted with a good conservation effort in R14 > Those who promoted did so using a variety of strategies - some mid-pack strategies and some save & spend strategies.
CONGRATS to those in the rest of the 8 promotion slots for SRS-A: > Lebron S. - It is his 2nd promotion to SRS-A where he seeks to improve on his 24th last time around > Rei F. - He has his 3rd successful promotion and will enter his 18th SRS-A season. > Gavin A. - This is his 3rd consecutive succesful promotion where he enters his 6th seaon of SRS-A. > Marvin M. - It is his 7th Consecutive successful promotion to SRS-A, but he has little success in the top league as he enters his 17th SRS-A season. > Mairo T. - The only player to compete in all 38 Seasons of SRS will return to SRS-A for S39 where he will enter his 23rd season in the top league
FINAL TEAM STANDINGS
CONGRATS to VIN STRUDER, our Season 38 SRS-B League Champion
CONGRATS to PENSKE, our Season 38 SRS-B League Team Champion
CONGRATS to the top 8 who PROMOTE to Season 39 of SRS-A League! - Those in the podium spots will pick their teams in order and then after the top 3, it will be first-come, first-serve! Each of the top 3 have 24 hours to make their selection, otherwise we will move onto the next person.
HOWEVER, Season 39 of SRS-A will not be opening until August 4th or 5th since I am headed on vacation. I will send out reminders when it comes time to choose your teams........
Thanks to everyone for joining and playing and for making this game a wonderful success.
Season 39 thread of the SRS-B League will not open up for another couple of weeks as I am headed on vacationr All of those players NOT promoting will have a guaranteed spot in Season 39 of SRS-B however you just need to wait until I open the new thread to confirm your spot. I will send a PM reminder when it is available.

I've been playing this nearly 30 seasons (dont remember) and I believe it's my first ever teams championship
Shame it's another season in B xD
|
|
|
Shame that I made the rookie mistake of not conserving enough. Could've gotten out first year if had. Guess it's time to shake off the Zakspeed mojo and promote in Season 39.
Have a good vacation, Kevin.

Didnt ecpect promo to end up being so easy but i'll take it. Hopefully i will win a title after promoting from league B again

Congrats Vin and the other promotees.
Thanks again Kevin - another well run season. Enjoy your vacation!

Thanks Kevin for hosting this! What an easy game yet full of what-if-considerations, which one could continue endlessly. I was thinking about being more conservative in R14 and started to count but soon I said to myself ah screw it and I went all-in. :-)

Thanks for hosting Kevin. I saw this game a couple of seasons ago but wasn't sure if it's for me. I'm now happy I grabbed that last spot here, as I liked it very much! I will surely join the next season too. In the meanwhile, enjoy your vacation!

Cheers for the season Kevin. I don't think I could've messed it up any more if I tried.
