Welcome to the 2020 "One Big Season" NASCAR Challenge!
Introduction
With a start at Daytona this Sunday, the NASCAR Cup Series runs from February through November, running a race nearly weekly throughout that entire period.
How do I play?
Each week, you have to choose one NASCAR Cup Series driver for that weekend's race, with the deadline being the scheduled start time for the race. After the race is over, you will receive your chosen driver's finishing position (at the end of the race) minus the number of intermediate stages won as your score for that week. These scores will continue to be summed throughout the season, and the player with the lowest score at the end will win the competition!
Here's the catch though: You can only choose a driver once throughout the entire season... so choose wisely!

Cancellations
Did you choose a good driver, but they had a rough week? Up to 2 times, you can cancel a previous week after the race has been run! Here's how it will work:
1.) Post "##Cancel Previous Week" in the thread, before the next deadline
2.) Your score for the previous week will now be scored a last place finish; however, you will receive back the right to select that driver.
3.) As mentioned above, you will only be able to utilize this twice during the season!
Any score changes from cancellations will be reflected in the next scoring update.
Technicalities
No entries will be accepted after the scheduled race start. The deadline will be the listed race start time. If you submit after the deadline, but before the green flag, I will accept it, provided I am able to be verify it was before the green flag.
Ties will only be broken at the end of the season if they are for first place, in which case, it will be by the following - less races missed, most 1st place, most 2nd place, etc.
You will receive a penalty of the lowest finishing position plus an additional penalty point if:
1.) You miss a race. Miss 3 races in a row - you lose your right to reminders for the rest of the season. You may send in picks for multiple races going forward if you think this might be an issue.
2.) If you pick a driver you've previously chosen.
3.) If your chosen driver does not qualify or otherwise participate in the race.
If you are assessed a penalty because you selected a driver not racing in the race (injury/non-qualifier/etc.), you will retain the right to select that driver again later.

2016 - Dominik Karda, 578 pts. (34 races)
2017 - Robert Andersen, 497 pts. (36 races)
2018 - Ryan McCorkle, 596 pts. (36 races)
2019 - Mikko Suhonen, 521 pts. (36 races)
