Welcome to the 194th season of the F1 Forum Game!
THE RULES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
1. You can join at any time of the season by just posting ##Join [Team]. There is NO RESERVING PLACES. You can ask others to keep the space in team free, but this isn't a must for them.
2. There will be 2 members per team. The teams must be named over a past or a present F1 constructor: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Formula_One_constructors
3. There will be no maximum number of participants in the game. There will be no reserve list in this game. When I feel a certain number of teams have been created, those free spots in those teams should be filled up before I will allow people to make new teams. Once all the existing teams are then full, further teams can be created. This process of team entries being closed and later reopened may be repeated.
4. If you do not participate for four (4) races in a row without reason then you can be removed from your team and become teamless. No one will be automatically removed from a team but once you have missed 4 races in a row, your team mate may request that you are removed (so the spot becomes available for others to join) by requesting this in a PM to the mod.
5. Anybody that unjoins/retires/gets replaced after the sign-up is complete will NOT be eligible for another team spot at a later stage. This means NO team changing mid-season, unless stated otherwise. But you can still join back and stay team-less.
6. This game will start when we have an ample number of participants.
7. The Champion of the season will host the following season unless he/she is unable or just chooses not to. However, the champion will not be allowed to compete in that season. Then the second placed player will have the option to host the following season, and so on.
8. There will be 1-3 races per day (GPRO days). Race start times will be randomly chosen and will be spread across the day respectively. However, I do reserve the right to not do races on some days where my RL may require my attention, but 7 races per week should be the absolute minimum. There will be 24 races in the season, and every hour will be used (GPRO time), so that no players have an unfair advantage over others because of their timezones.
9. All you have to do is post “Finish”, after I or a guest-host have started a Grand Prix by saying, “Start Spanish GP'', for example. ”Finish” should be posted on a separate line from any other text (words or numbers - a smiley or punctuation is fine) to be counted as a race finish. Posting finish as part of a sentence or as a quote (unless you use the quote to "Finish" - see rule #15) will not count as a race finish and will not be punished as in past seasons.
10. There may be hidden/very hidden/edited starts, but never beyond the 30 minute edit time. A valid start must have all the words in the same post and in the correct order. The words (or even letters, but in this case, they have to be highlighted) may not be together, and can be spread in the post. The host cannot start a fake race during an used hour.
11. If you are unsure if a guest-host is legitimate or not, then you should finish anyway. As long as there has been a post containing the valid race start wording, no one will be punished if the guest-host turns out not to be genuine. A player currently competing in the game cannot be a guest-host.
12. The races will finish any time after there has been 10 valid race finishes, or if the mod decides a long enough time has passed and it is unlikely to reach 10 valid finishes (perhaps due to large number of DSQs). The scoring will be 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 respectively. Anyone finishing beyond that will not receive points but will be credited for taking part in the race.
13. Finishing twice in same GP will result in DSQ from that race not give you points for every time you finish.
14. Everybody can post finish until I or co-host end the GP by saying "End Spanish GP", for example. Finishing after that will result in a DSQ for the next race. However, if you finish within 10 seconds after I have ended the race, perhaps due to lag, I will consider not disqualifying you. You will also receive a DSQ for the next race for finishing before a valid race start.
15. You can't quote a finish post to "Finish". If you do so, you will get a DSQ for the race.
16. You are not allowed to edit any posts afrter the season has started (I will put a warning in the thread to warn you when the season oficially starts). If you do this during a race, you will be DSQ from that race and the next race. If you do this when a race is not running, you will be DSQ for the next race for your first offence, or for the next two races for any future offence.
17. Anybody making a post including any of the following may result in a DSQ from the following race: counting down how many people have finished. stating how many people are needed to finish (e.g. '3 left to finish'). asking for a race to start asking when the next race will start (all race times will be and are random) -Spamming certain words or phrases that may replicate "Finish"
Note: Spamming, especially while any race is in progress, will be dealt with accordingly and the offending manager shall be dealt with ASAP. What constitutes as spam and the punishment for it, is at the discretion of the host. This is not meant to stop players enjoying the game in any way. Excessive spamming simply causes confusion.
18. Do not start your own GPs at any time as you will get a DSQ for the next 2 races
19. The rules state that a driver must participate in 1 of 4 races to maintain his position in the team line-up. HOWEVER, if a driver decides to purposefully disqualify themselves in an attempt to save their place, they will be DSQ'd from the following race, and still be eligible for replacement.
20. All races will be in this thread, so try not to get a forum ban.
21. If I believe anyone is trying to gain an unfair advantage or bending rules out with the spirit of the game, or for any matter not covered in the rules that I believe is against the spirit of the game, then you may receive a punishment at my discretion. My decision on this is final.
22. I will probably ignore any stupid questions, especially those whose answers can be found in the rules.
23. If a person deliberately "finish"es after he knows he already will be DSQed for finishing when there is no race going on, finishing twice during a race or for editing a post, he will be DSQed for more races. The exact number will be to the mod's discretion and the decision will be final.
24. If you post "finish" in a race from which you've been DSQed, you will be DSQed for the next race too unless the host hasn't made a clear post about you being DSQed.
25. The host has to avoid the Online Friends page to avoid create doubt over the fairness of the game, especially when there is no race taking place.

As it is now Token, Manor, Minardi & Brawn stay with the same driver line-up as last season.
Life has signed Marcus Probert for another season and they also signed Wopke Hoekstra from Footwork.
Last season Shadow's Jaelan Smith who was doing pretty well remained with the team and they got Riley Dunlop on the board.
A new team has joined this season. Haas has signed Ahmet Sonverdi, 12 time champion and Harsh Sheth.
Toyota made a contract extension with Lyee Chong 2 time champion, and Jay Shankar has made a move from Shadow to them.
Ferrari went out of usual and made a deal with Stiven Peraza. The team said that they will announce the other driver later on.
Token with Mairo Toom 6 time champion and Ivelin Dobrev 25 time champion are the main contenders but last season Minardi (Beagles&Ho] and Brawn (Márfi&Heller) were there for the race winnings. This seasons black horse might be Haas.
Looking forward to this really exciting season!
