Hello friends,

I watch my races on my big screen - PC editing machine - with a professional sound system attached to it.

I leave my system at a high volume and I manipulate the volume through windows or software sliders.

The problem is when the race is loading, a popup AD jumps to the front AT MAXIMUM VOLUME and sometimes this is annoying (late at night or someone is asleep etc)

what I do; I figured to enter the AD controls and mute it but it takes 10 seconds .....

CAN YOU DEVS SETUP THE STARTING AD WITH THE SOUND MUTED PLEASE ???? OR WITH THE CONTROLS NOT HIDDEN ??

would it not help if you right-click a GPRO tab and select "mute site", like so https://i.imgur.com/tFufTb6.jpg

not quite sure does that mute also adds, but I would imagine it could do it

and btw: the browser can remember this setting, so the mute will be active in the next race

If you use chrome, try adding this :

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/adblock-%E2%80%94-....

Because that makes GPRO run out of money :P Plus i beleive they have some sort of pop up asking you to turn it off, plus the adds are actually still there in the boxes, its just greyed out so it actually makes no difference

Your solution definitely solves the problem, but respectfully I would go the "muting the tab" route. I do use adblock throughout but I whitelist GPro since this is my way of contributing to the maintenance of the site/business.

That's nice, but I think whitelisting the site doesn't help if you don't click on the ads

not quite sure does that mute also adds

I've used that function, & it mutes everything (in Chrome, anyhow).
