Premier League Season 5 - Standings after 4/38 Rounds

https://i.imgur.com/nd65WBE.png

Southampton and Chelsea keep the lead, scoring another four this time around, there are no more perfect teams left and these two are the final two unbeaten. Preston keeps third place, just falls behind by another point, he's now tied on points with Arsenal thanks to their double win. Leicester is sixth, Burnley and Huddersfield 7th and 8th, all five places behind where they should be. On the contrary, none of the bottom three are actually in the relegation zone, Tottenham is currently 13th in their first year back. Preston v Chelsea is the derby of Round 7, while first placed Southampton visits Huddersfield in Round 8, while Round 2 of the FA Cup gets underway.

Deadline for Rounds 7 and 8 is Friday 22:00 GPRO Time.

FA Cup - Round 2

https://i.imgur.com/sdelDf1.png

There were way less draws in Round 2, due to the fact that Championship teams start with an edge over the League survivors (which could be changed for next season). Only three ties will have to be settled during Round 2 Replay.

Premier League Season 5 - Rounds 7 & 8

https://i.imgur.com/79MSN56.png

https://i.imgur.com/8oVwqjU.png

Disaster for Huddersfield and two 3-0 losses, the three points are taken by Ipswich and crucially, Southampton. In Round 7 Preston got the better of Chelsea and West Ham managed to tie Manchester United while behind. Other than that, the favorites won all around. The Round 8 clash of Chelsea and Burnley ended with a tie, followed by Arsenal tying Preston and United picking up another point, this time against Bournemouth. The round ended with Newcastle's upset win over Leicester.

Southampton won another two rounds, still unbeaten after eight matches. But as Preston North End got stuck with a draw, and Chelsea only picked up a single point, Claudio Lima's team now has a lead of five points over P2 and P3. Bournemouth jumps to fourth, ahead of Arsenal. Wolverhampton gains three places, Man City is finally out of the hole and jumps nine after each teams won both their matches.

Deadline for Rounds 9 and 10 is Tuesday 22:00 GPRO Time.

On Tuesday, after the next two rounds, the first rating adjustment will take place.

https://i.imgur.com/p5gf70z.png

TLDR: the more rating you have, the better you are expected to finish. After each quarter of the season, your current position in the overall rankings is compared to your Expectations.

If you are 'above expectations', you move up a tier (gain one rating, but get tougher expectations). If you are 'below expectations', you move down a tier (lose one rating but get easier expectations).

You still have two rounds (the Tuesday submission) to change your position/situation!

FA Cup - Round 2 Replay

https://i.imgur.com/a1NArIv.png

None of the remaining three Round 2 matches needed extra time, and one of them included a shock Birmingham victory over Crystal Palace. Still, 20 of the 24 teams are from the Championship so chances are very slim a Premier League team will meet someone from League One or League Two when the first proper draw takes place in a week's time.

Premier League Season 5 - Rounds 9 & 10

https://i.imgur.com/WiAmkbl.png

https://i.imgur.com/t2Yu8fV.png

Newcastle and Leicester pick up the easiest three points of these two rounds, as Manchester City fails to make it in time for Rounds 9 and 10. Round 9 also had Cardiff upsetting Premier League leaders Southampton, Leicester winning by three against Bournemouth and Wolverhampton defeating Manchester United in a high-rating matchup. In Round 10, it was Tottenham's turn for an upset over Cardiff, while Burnley beat Watford in a 14-14 derby. Chelsea also beat Southampton, which will definitely have an impact on the first quarter standings...

Southampton, scoring zero points in two rounds, has lost the lead, just before the one quarter point of the season. The new leaders are Preston North End once again, who is tied with Chelsea on 23 points as both teams got double wins this time. Three points separate the Top 5, seventh placed Arsenal is just five behind the leaders. Both Manchesters are down in 14th-15th, just behind Tottenham.

This is the one quarter point of the season, which means ratings are adjusted by one point. You either gain or lose one Rating, depending on whether you finished above or below your expectations:

Note: Newcastle United and Cardiff City are perfectly tied in the Standings, so for adjusting purposes they are both ranked 11th.

One quarter of the season down, it's time to look at how the Lower Leagues look after 25% of the season done.
Lower Leagues: http://bit.ly/prem5lower

Lower League Standings after 11/46 Rounds

https://i.imgur.com/sehZl7K.png

QR's QPR are leading the Championship by two points, which is a more stable lead here than in the Premier League. Aston Villa and Sheffield are the rest of the Top 3 for now, but they aren't the statistically strongest teams so it's very early to jump into conclusions. Rotherham United is 5th, punching above their weight. Nottingham Forest is 7th but still unbeated, with 8/11 draws! Crystal Palace and Blackburn are both in the hunt for promotion as well.

https://i.imgur.com/dEXxAMf.png

Portsmouth is in a much better situation than the Championship teams, they are on 25 points after one quarter down. Hull City is also looking strong in third. Plymouth and Bristol look a bit far away from promotion at the moment.

https://i.imgur.com/PulSnDB.png

All Development Teams are in the hunt for the promotion spots, League Two is led by Bolton and Salford on 20 points, but the Top 9 are within 3 points so anyone can still win this one! Well, expect Carlisle United maybe, as they are only on five points so far.

Only seven winners are found after 90 minutes of Round 3 action, two of the League One-Two teams fell at home but Newport County still stands. The Round 4 draw (including all 20 Premier League teams) will be held LIVE in this thread, starting on Monday at 22:00 GPRO Time.
