FA Cup - Round 4 Replay

Underlined rating means the team chose to take 1 rating away from that particular match.
A second chance for everyone in this Round 4 Replay of the FA Cup. West Brom took a forfeit against Man City, a 2-point upset, just like West Ham's 3-2 win over Cardiff. Southampton and Liverpool win the two other all-Premier matches, while Leicester storms through Nottingham. The remaining two matches finished level, the Championship clash of Norwich and Blackburn, as well as Man United's match against Birmingham.
Penalty Coverage
First, Norwich City vs Blackburn. No Premier League reporters were present, only the result was announced just now. After six rounds of penalties, Norwich City win 4-3 and advances, they will play Newcastle.
Now, tensions are high in Birmingham as a Championship side could knock out Man United...

Premier League Season 5 - Rounds 17, 18 & 19

Underlined rating means the team chose to take 1 rating away from that particular match.
A tripleheader to finish off the first half of Season 5 began with a triple Man City no-show. Most high profiles, Southampton, Bournemouth, Burnley, Leicester, Huddersfield and Arsenal managed to tie, while Chelsea won a crucial 14-14 battle against Cardiff. Preston followed them with a 3-1 win over Ipswich, at this point Chelsea led with 38p +13, ahead of Preston with 38p +12. Watford's upset win over Liverpool and West Brom scoring a point vs Southampton are also worth noting.
Round 18 followed with another Chelsea win and this time Preston couldn't keep up, earning them a 2-2 tie against another title hopeful Southampton. Not a direct upset but Cardiff did earn one point with 12 Rating, 11 points against Arsenal, away from home. Chelsea was optimistic after R18, which turned into mild celebration when their halfway first place was confirmed in Round 19. A win over Arsenal was combined with a Southampton-Burnley draw and crucially, Tottenham beating Preston. Ipswich found another huge upset, this time 3 Rating down against Bournemouth, while Wolverhampton defeated Leicester in an exciting 15-14 derby.

What a week for Chelsea! They scored the maximum of 9 points this time, while none of their close rivals got more than five. As a result, they are now leading with five points, certainly the biggest lead of the season so far. Additionally, finishing first earns them the 15th Away Rating, they are definitely the title favorites now. But five points in this sport is far from safety. Both Preston and Southampton vastly overachieved their expectations and with another rating the chase will be on for the title. Three more teams are very close to the podium, Burnley, Leicester and Wolverhampton all know what it takes to make it back to the title fight. Another five teams stand on 30-27 points after 19 matches, some are satisfied, some definitely aren't, while Tottenham Hotspur is definitely ecstatic, the freshly promoted team awaits the second half of the season from the Top 10. This might be the time to talk about relegation for the first time, the Top 11 definitely look safe, they are followed by Man United and Cardiff on 23, then overachieving West Ham and Ipswich on 20. It gets even tighter around the red line, Brighton and Liverpool both stand on 16, one ahead of Season 1 Champion Manchester City. Watford and West Brom bring up the rear currently, but both did well in this triple round so anyone can still survive!

What happens to the extra rating if the cup winner relegates?

Quote ( Richard Robin Paukson @ September 16th 2020,10:12:28 ) What happens to the extra rating if the cup winner relegates? Haha great question. I'd say the Cup reward could be tied to the manager. So if a manager relegates with a cup win, and for example rejoins for S6 with a Championship-promoted side, he could have 12-13 Rating instead of 12-12. That shouldn't be too unfair I hope.
This also means if the cup winner decides to change teams for whatever reason for Season 6, he can carry over the extra rating to his new team.
Quote ( Sagar Abhyankar @ September 16th 2020,10:14:17 ) Finally a league victory Good job, unbeaten tripleheader, through to Round 5 in the Cup, and gained some ground on everyone outside the top 12. :)

Lower League Standings after 23/46 Rounds
https://i.imgur.com/mDaB3WN.png
The battle for the three Premier League places is as close as expected. With half the season down, Swansea City are leading but tied on points and goal difference with Queens Park Rangers. Blackburn are 2 points behind, Nottingham and Sheffield United are another point off, but the Top 11 are withing 8 points so it's far from over for the midfield.
https://i.imgur.com/qp3ohqo.png
There's a little bit more of a separation in League One, Hull City and Portsmouth are leading with 44 points each, five ahead of Fleetwood Town, six ahead of Peterborough United. Bristol are already nine behind, while in this tier the relegation battle looks more open, with 14th to 24th being just six points apart.
https://i.imgur.com/P2Hiiui.png
Premier League experience helps a lot in the fourth tier of Fives, seven of the Top 9 have Premier League connections. They are all within six points currently, with Forest Green Rovers leading with 39 points, two ahead of Salford and Barrow. At long last, Carlisle United became the 72nd and last team to win a Lower League match in Round 23.

FA Cup - Round 5
https://i.imgur.com/3gHN6Gz.png
Underlined rating means the team chose to take 1 rating away from that particular match.
Round 5 means the teams are playing for a place in the Quarterfinals, while the last of the Championship teams are being eliminated and every clash becomes harder to predict. Norwich and Birmingham fell to Newcastle and Watford, leaving us with only Premier League teams for the rest of the Cup. With two significant upsets, Ipswich and Liverpool sent Southampton and Liverpool home, while Chelsea and Bornemouth beat West Ham and Leicester. This leaves us with two tied results, Preston and the Wolves managed not to lose away from home and now they are the favorites to make it through to the Quarterfinals.

The second half of Season 5 started with an Arsenal-Bournemouth tie, then Chelsea got their sixth win in a row. Tottenham got a win against Burnley in a 14-all clash, while Newcastle got one valuable point against Huddersfield, three Ratings down. In Round 21 neither Bournemouth nor Southampton won their derby against each other and Huddersfield won as a 1-point underdog against Leicester.

FA Cup - Round 5 Replay
https://i.imgur.com/A8pts2T.png
Underlined rating means the team chose to take 1 rating away from that particular match.
Both matches of Round 5 Replay featured a heavy favorite, who were more even against the underdogs in the first try. But neither Huddersfield nor West Brom could get it done at home and now that they were away from home, no surprises were left.
This confirms the most anticipated match of the season so far, Chelsea and Preston are first and second but only one of them will make it to the Semi-Finals of the FA Cup. The Wolves are definitely the favorites against Liverpool but the other two Quarterfinals are anyone's game and two of Watford, Newcastle, Ipswich and Bournemouth will be ecstatic with their fairy-tale Cup run, guaranteeing themselves a Top 4 at the very least.

Premier League Season 5 - Rounds 22 & 23
https://i.imgur.com/JYs6xVP.png
https://i.imgur.com/GybuQAR.png
Underlined rating means the team chose to take 1 rating away from that particular match.
Premier League leaders Chelsea kicked off Round 22 with a comfortable win over Newcastle, while Preston couldn't make way for an upset win over Wolverhampton away from home. With that Chelsea's lead is up to seven points over Preston and 10 over Southampton, who win a crucial 14-14 battle against Tottenham. Two other 14-14 matches took place, where Leicester beat Cardiff and Man United defeated Burnley. Watford's second half of the season starts off much better, they are still in the Cup and now they upset Bournemouth. Round 23 was one of the strangest rounds, seven of the ten matches ended in a tie. Only heavy favorites Bournemouth, Preston and Man City won their games, Chelsea did not. They and Leicester both had 15 Ratings and the derby finished 2-2. West Ham and Wolverhampton got their point despite being 2 Ratings down but West Ham topped them with an away point despite rated 12-15 against Southampton.
