How is it possible that I fired a driver who was too high overall in rookie and who was hired by a player in the middle of the season in a rookie group?
Pilot profile: Alessandro Baldi
Current owner: Peter Lysičan
Group: Rookie - 90
hired
Season 79, Race 11 Still ongoing

it passed like 8 races since you had that driver, its OA probably decreased during that lapse of time until it reached 85 and then got his contract renewed just as Kyle mentions.

Agree with both, Sergio you can follow some driver and study how he's dropping his skills when he isn't signed, is the best way to know how it's possible.

last GP 2020/11/27
Characteristics of the pilot
Pilot Name........ LC Conc Tal. Add Esp Tec Res Car Mot. Rep. Weight
Alessandro Baldi 90

and in a race goes from level 85 to level 92?
so I was a jerk myself to fire him, since in the first 3 races he always finished 5th?

With a contract extension, some training and some motivation gained in last race, it is certainly possible he went from 85 to 92.

And looking at your money, you certainly did something wrong during your season.

I don't want to go into amateurs, I need another 2 seasons to assimilate data on the various circuits, then, MAYBE, I move into a higher category, for now I try to understand the game.

Driver stats, and what they contribute to Overall, is a good starting point to build on.

I mean you really shouldn't always focus directly on race results, or driver OA for that matter if you wanna figure things out about performance.

I see a lot of managers on Rookie group that do the same of what you want to do... I always have tought they were Farm Accounts... but anyways if thats how you think would bring you enjoyment... go on.. What I see with others... they Race their Heart out all Season long but at the end of they always end up at more than -15M just to be able to avaoid Promotion...

If ever you find yourself Bored in Rookie one day... remember that there are always somebody that been there and done that whatever you want to collect... sometimes you just have to look and search... in and outside the box...

Really like your attitude Sergio!
Patience and perseverance are two of the most important factors in the game.

That being said, there's actually some truth in Adonijah's words.

Whichever path you take, please make sure to enjoy the game! :)

All the best and hope to talk more in the future. :D

+ you won't take your driver their either if his contract runs out at the last race. Though you'd want to replace him anyway I would expect.
