Gave it 5 points, sad to see my winner song already out of the competition.

I didn't think that one would do very well, but I'm glad someone else liked it at least ;)

Now I'm trying to work out what's left, because most of the songs I gave big points to are gone :p

And the full results of semi-final and how exactly did people vote, will be revealed after the final is over and we have results and a winner.

-------

THE FINAL OF 2020

Below you can find all the songs that made it through!

Voting goes the "normal" GPROvision way: Select your top TEN (10) songs out of the list and rank them in order, giving them points of 12-10-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1. You cannot vote for your own song. If you don't vote, your song(s) will get substracted 18 points! All the guys&girls who are eliminated already can vote also, and I hope do so because it's fun.

Send me your votes via PM: /gb/NewMail.asp?IDM=52243
and write them something like this example:

a - 12 (points)
b - 10
c - 8
d - 7
etc etc...you catch my drift.

Deadline for voting is on Saturday January 23rd, 20:00 CET! You probably shouldn't even need as much time as you have already heard the songs, so if you get your votes in earlier, I will proceed with the results earlier too ;)

I beg to disagree. I enjoyed listening to them both a lot. Lot more than a whole bunch of other songs. But that's subjective, isn't it? "J" has a funny video, but saying the song is 'meme' is not really accurate given the level of the musicians involved, even if you are not keen on technical prog rock.

Waba Daba made me smile and shake and was one of the only ones i listened to more than once. Isn't that the point of music anyway? Triggering emotions? In fact, i was pretty happy that i could be introduced to those 2 songs i would never know.

Thanks for submitting Acacia by the way! I think it was my second most favourite song out of all of you player's entries.

Well, that, or Cassiopeia. Sad to see that one out too, loved the lyrics! Well also the singing :p

Nah, it's garbage. By that logic everyone would be sending in crazy frog remixes, that's not the point of these contests.

The main selling point of the thing is the video, plus it's not even a song. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/song

I didn't realise there was a rule saying you had to send a certain type of song as long as it was released as such and not as a mockup.

Somewhy many of the songs started sounding better after a second listen :D Really hard to separate my top 12-13 songs now from each other and put them into a order, but I'll figure something out. And I first thought 2020 was not gonna be that good in music...

In the meanwhile, now that you've already heard the songs once, I expect this final round voting to happen even a bit quicker right! Keep on keeping on voting on.

Well they will come after he has voted (which is now), but not tonight unfortunately. So Marvin, Julio, Sudeep, Andre and Stephen will still have a chance to vote. And I'll probably have time to do the results tomorrow night anyway, but yeah they will arrive soon, just a bit more patience ;)
