Hello fellow GPRO managers,
I know this upcoming week with be tough for many people. Like there will be nothing to do this Tuesday and I am sure many of you, like myself, will miss the thrill of pushing your luck a bit, the dread of getting a driver mistake and the frustration of being blocked by someone half a second slower than you.

Fear not my fellow managers, I have you covered. On 19th of January at 20 CET (Regular race start time) I am inviting you to come together and play Rallyman GT board game
https://boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?game=rallymangt

Here is a not so short video explanation of the game and the rules.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFDoFd_OzIo&ab_channel=N...

And if a video of a guy with a slavic accent explaining the game doesn't cut it for you I can arrange a guy with a slavic accent (me) to explain the rules to you live at 19:30 CET.

If you want to join just reply to this topic and I will arrange enough tables depending on how many people are interested.

If you are not already a member of board game arena I would appreciate if you use my referral link when creating an account.
https://boardgamearena.com/?sp=1dypop

The purple witch herself will make an appearance and we might even get her on a zoom call too. It will be exciting times. Hope to see you there.

So Table 1 is pretty much settled I think the game would play pretty well with 5. We can definitely do 6 too so don't be afraid to sign up. If we get 7 people we can do a 3-4 split.

There is always a spot available. The game could be played with 2-6 people. My goal is to have 4-5 per table and we can have as many tables as we need. I will split everyone into groups just before the event and we will take it from there

So guys I will go by reply order.

Table 1:
Ilia Lilov
@Florencia Caro (M5)
@Steven Rose (A50)
@Ania Piekarska (E)

Table 2:
@Marco Ferraz (A47)
@Shoaib Mohamed (A22)
@Sagar Abhyankar (A40)
@Ankit Jakhar (A74)

We can adjust if someone want to join last minute or doesn't show up. Meeting time 20:00 GMT+1 (race start time) tomorrow 19/01. For voice chat we can use the GPRO discord as I am sure most of you are already on that anyways. I will be available 30 min before that if someone needs help with the account setup or the rules of the game.

I am thinking of having 3 races on our S79- Test Track.

1st Race - Practice - GT4 Cars
2nd Race - Quali - GT5 Cars
3rd Race - Finals - GT6 Cars - We can place the top 2 finishers of table 1 against top 2 of table 2 together on table 1 and the rest of the players on table 2 for some variety and to see who is the best :D

See you all tomorrow.

I must admit I am a little intimidated being on a table with the famous Flo and Ania :D

Now is probably also a good time to admit I have not practiced whatsoever - getting in my excuses now for being rubbish ;)

I am thinking it as an opportunity to actually beat either of them in a race :D

I have also not played the game before... I did a little bit of practice to see if an errata to the board game was addressed on that webpage and to see how to make pit stops and I learned that pit stops don't work if you are playing alone for some reason. It will be a learning experience for all of us. That is why I am planning the Practice stage that doesn't count for anything.

Thanks everyone for joining. I had a lot of fun and you can definitely expect season 2 on the next season break. Will definitely try to be a bit more organised with the tables and the hosting. You will excuse my n00b organisational skills this time :D

Thanks everyone for the game!

BGA has a turn-based option of playing (e.g. 1 move per day). Is anyone interested in playing that way?

Hello everyone,
this season rolls to a close and it is time again for the off season board game race. Thigs will be quite similar to last time. Date is 22nd of March, time is 20:00 CET and game is https://boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?game=rallymangt

This time we will have a GT6 and a GT4 race. Game mechanics are very similar I think GT6 might be a bit better for more experienced board game players and GT4 is a bit easier for people playing the game for the first time.

I will have a GT4 and GT6 list going and we will create the tables according to the number of people who sign up. Just let me know which race you prefer to participate in and your board game arena username. If you are a new user feel free to use the referral link: https://boardgamearena.com/?sp=1dypop

This is it for now. Hope to see you there

So GT6 cars have gear dice from 1 to 6, 3 brake dice and 2 coasting dice.

Gt4 cars have gears from 1-4, 2 brake die and 3 coasting die.

The thing is that gears 1-2 have 1 danger symbol, higher gears have 2. The red brake dies have 2 danger symbols and the coasting ones have just one. It is easier to spin out with the GT6 cars and they will need a bit more planning too as you have 6 gears. It is not a huge difference but the devil is in the details :)
