My reason: the fact that a game can be not time consuming doesn't mean it won't be time consuming for me

too relatable, spoken like a true addict.

Join Wavelength, the newest board game adaptation!

It's a lot of fun and very easy to play. Think of it as dumb charades, but better.

Season 4 of Camel Up is looking for more players!

/gb/forum/ViewTopic.asp?TopicId=30192#scroll

Easy to play. Takes a minute to decide your moves and doesn't requiere too complicated strategies. Seasons last about 2 or 3 weeks.

Check out previous seasons and give it a try!

Cluedo!

I did think about doing a Google Docs for Monopoly and Cluedo haha. Maybe when the document is completed, I may trial it out :P

Not sure Monopoly is a great idea, it would take ages to complete a game. Cluedo is quicker

Though questions could be raised regarding really how interactive those games can be in a forum format.

EDIT: Also may be worth considering building a version of the game that allows for more people.

Cluedo will definitely be like a board game version of Mafia :P

A good shout, considering I can just about modify and create whatever weapons and rooms I want :)

I had a similar game to that, think it was Monaco on the layout and there were like 4/5 lanes or something.

Formula one was kind of unique as you controlled the speed guage rather than a random dice throw. Although random dice roles effected what happened if you took a corner too fast.

If you're going to do an adaptation of the game, you could also design your own tracks and have a 'season' with maybe 10 laps per track

Just seen this. May do this one first as it is the easiest to adapt to a forum-based board game.

Board gamers out there may be interested in www.spielbyweb.com which runs several games. The two I think are best are 'Hoity Toity' and 'Wallenstein'. I never really got to grips with Reef Kingdom and Bus. Tikal was nothing particularly special and I don't remember Hacienda but know I played it a few times.

I haven't played there for several years now, but it's worth a go
