Yep was about to say that @Vladimir Valis (A85) is next up to decide...I'm still pondering, I've had an idea for a season for a while - not sure whether I'm ready to do it this time (but also conscious that this may be my only chance to do it lol! :P).

Finally, my time to shine :D I'll take care of the next season.

So, anyone interested in discussing the rule changes?
I will add one of my own, a rule that I have been thinking since a particular event that happened during last season. The rule basically would not let hosts tease players on any place outside the game thread since it can generate an unfair situation. If I wasn't too clear I'll gladly explain the reasons behind this rule.

Also @George Togas (P13) and @Javier Saez (R24) are both banned from the next edition. I'm not Ric and I will not tolerate any childish behaviour from people trying to ruin everyone's experience.

That's it, I'll be reading your thoughts guys :)

I know Jon, I'm looking like a dictator myself :P But honestly, as a host I don't want to deal with these kind of people. I'm ok with a little bit of trolling, but making the host's life 100% harder just because you don't agree on how the season is being hosted is a dick move.

While I don't disagree that the behaviour exhibited by certain individuals last season was a bit out of order at times (mentioning no names), I do think you could maybe allow them to join 'on probation' so to speak (presuming they want to join) and just ban them at the first sign of re-offending...

I clocked the reason for George btw, but didn't see what Javier did...? :S

He finished 3 times as a parting gift before unjoining. We could discuss if that was at the same level as George's behaviour throughout the whole season (imo clearly no) but no one can deny there was a bad intention behind it and that's why I don't want him in the next season.

Ah right didn't clock that...meh, Ric deffo annoyed some people (not saying that justifies their responses though) so maybe worth giving them a 2nd chance if they want in...

Just my 2 cents :)

As for new rules, clarifying what "being on the post" means would be great. You don't have to do that yourself, obviously, but something stating in the rulee that being in the post means being in the raw text aka markdown before posting is the meaning of it.

I am aware that you hate it though but lay the ground for other hosts :)

Also thanks for standing up to me Vlad.

Javier was a frustation leaving, and I did give him the appropriate penalty for such. If you think it is fair, you can carry on with that (not that i would do it) instead of straight up banning him (penalty being DSQ for 4 races)

As for George, he went absolutely too far. Once again, a race penalty would be more appropriate than straight up banning (once again, I wouldnt do that) and as Jon said, at the slightest sight of unsportsmanship, ban him.

Also good luck in your season, im sure you will do a better job than me :)

I forgive you Vladimir. No hard feelings for you.
Join next season of course.
As a normal player if you want...
But of you want to start a war for no reason, I will accept the challenge and I will do my best.
Can't wait the new thread to come up and see what you want me to be there

I dont think anyone should be banned pre-emptively. More players means more fun and George's and Javier's behaviour, although inappropriate, was triggered by Ric's hosting style and the hidden starts. In a more "regular" setting they most likely wouldn't have done anything like that and should therefore be given a chance.

If Javier wants to join next season I'll take him if he apologises for his behaviour. My decision on George is final, he can always play the following season with another host anyways.

It's up to you guys. I did bring the discussion because it was already stated here that the chages should be made for the next season. But (I'll spoil a little bit here) it won't change anything in the next edition since there won't be any start that doesn't matches with my own definition of what the post includes. In case you missed the few posts where I said what my definition of the post includes, during next season there won't be any start not visible inside the post. This basically means there won't be any starts hidden in links (including quotes). Because of this, changes can be delayed one more season. Then again, it's up to you. I won't change anything without discussing it with you (excepting the host teasing rule which I think everyone will agree it can avoid unfair situations).

Blaming the victim, really? If you dislike how a game is being hosted you are always free to unjoin. I don't think we should tolerate this kind of behaviour in a place where everyone is supposed to have fun.

Thanks for the game Ric, really. But this game beats me. I don't want to waste my time analyzing if it is "a" or if it is "e", and I also do not want to be aware every 30 seconds if something has happened in this game.
Thanks again

##unjoin

I still think the same. I was not going to play.

Ricardo, if I made you feel bad, I apologize.

Vladimir, thank you for letting me play, this reminds me of when I was a child and the owner of the ball decided who played and who didn't LOL

Javier what you did wrong was spamming "Finish" after you decided you would quit. That was unsportsman like, altough i understood the frustration (not the timing though but thats another story)

Either way, I dont think what you did is remotely comparable to George.
