You could just add more drivers again, just have 4 drivers not qualify for the race.

You could just add more drivers again, just have 4 drivers not qualify for the race.
I'm cool with that, but are people ok with that too for this season? It's just a temporary measure for this season and we should swap to a single driver system for the next season.

Well given that most people are happy with that, @Alihan Zor (A28) welcome to the game! You may select your team and your 2 drivers.
Take note that because of this, it is now the bottom 4 in qualifying who will miss the race :)

Is there a reason why there can't be an extra 1 or 2 elimination spots half way through the race? Although I do seem to be the only person who is against eliminations from qualifying :p
It's too luck based for me, especially as less players will pick harder compounds to avoid eliminations, therefore anyone who picks them and gets lucky in qualifying will likely win due to little/no traffic. In that situation getting 0 or 20 points would be solely based on qualifying luck...

Because that affects the traffic in race even more. Considering I just adjusted down pit times from 2.0s to 1.7s, I don't exactly want to adjust it down even more to fit what could potentially be around 0.8s of extra traffic, as that might destabilise the game too much. It's only a temporary fix, just because we are in an awkward situation at the start of the season, it will be better next season when I can move to a single driver system.

In my mind, it shouldn't be that bad. 4/36 drivers eliminated from isn't that significant of a number imo, and I still think people might still make the consideration for harder tyres - Given that traffic is still going to be a heavy factor, so risking Primes for example might still be a consideration to get a good result.

Bahrain GP: Starting Grid

We start Bahrain off with Lotus' Gunnar Nilsson on pole! This race sees the majority of drivers opt for Options or Softs, which could only signal potentially heavy traffic in the pits. With 12 of Softs, it could potentially be disaster for some of the drivers if they pit on the same lap.
Meanwhile, we see some drivers surprisingly master the Primes and score really strong timings in qualifying. Newcomers Jacques Villeneuve and Armet Must-Ash make up this lot, eager to impress their new employers, while Esteban Ocon is the other driver, qualifying high up in 9th.
Unfortunately, this is also the 1st race for the new format where the bottom 4 does not enter the race, and today, it would be in some familiar faces - Haas' Bob Wob, Cooper's Kimi Raikkonen, Minardi's Sebastian Buemi and Brabham's Jamie Chadwick. Bob Wob being the most surprising out of the 4, having started on Mediums, but having had a rubbish qualifying leading to him being knocked out!
