Good news - the crazy lap-times are gone, pit-stops are back and De Tomaso look like they are in a more realistic position.

Bad news - 2 teams now top of the pile that I can't explain why they are there...checking that with my brother now - it might be correct (in which case YAY we finally have a race!) but there may be something else going on that needs fixing...

If it's JBW at the front, I accept things how they are and we should move on to the next race please thanks.

They wanted to be De Tomato, but the registra misclicked the typewriter, mostly because they thought "who wants to be called "the tomato"

More in this, Ferrari also didn't like the prospect of the team being named De Tomato, mostly because they thought it would take the piss out of the fact their car is round and red like a... well... Tomato

Gilby News

Pilette seen advertising for 'De Tomatoes'

Andre Pilette has reportedly been seen in his native homeland selling what he calls, 'De Tomatoes', which are basically... a tub of tomatoes which are grown in Gilby's greenhouse, because he works as a gardener part time & earns approximately 20 euros a month, providing that there is no race on.

When asked about this, Pilette replied, "Well, it originated from 1954, when I used to take part in F1Revisited, where I got easily bored, because my old team wore £2,000 t shirts & act if the drivers were poor. Now, we are rich and spend on whatever we want. I spend it on gardening, the FIA spend it on... time management courses & the drivers spend it on God knows what, but that is none of my business, as I recently got sued by JBW, but won the lawsuit with a multi pack of De Tomatoes, which made a 235 euro profit."

We have made some progress this weekend - now isolated the errant value, so just need to work out what's causing to be incorrect and we will be there (famous last words!).

Great work JB and Brother B, the time and effort you're putting into this game is highly appreciated (and it's what made me want to try it in the first place)

In 1961? Surely no-one had heard of Euros, and what he probably earned was Belgian Francs ;

Why? Why did you have to say that out loud :(

There are players on this forum that are as old as my GPRO Account...

In terms of the next update on this - in my brother's words; "Realistically either Saturday or Sunday mornings."

We are literally going to go from 0 to 100mph with this I reckon btw; i.e. once it's fixed we'll be into plenty of F1R races in a row :)
