Why does he have to speak to Ric every time ?

A lot of people are acting like this is weird. Rickers is a third party (I don't mean in Mafia game terms), a trusted friend and, most importantly, awake at the crucial hour.

You know it's not like the CIA asked the KGB what was going on with the Soviet Union ...

I think Sudeep has a very good point about George's schizophrenic play. The VI angle seems much more likely then clever scum play. Hats off to George if he is indeed genius scum though. Richard may indeed be the better lunch candidate then.

Can we just agree to vote one of those two and then do it and not have to try to keep reading between it all.

Sorry, which two exactly?

i think some ppl are scared of a wagon for sure. But its way too early for that to happen

oh, and no way am i doing a list on day 1, probably not day 2 either. Its just something for ppl to shout at and no real reads ... well none that stick usually.
I gotta say this is unhelpful and selfish. Stating your reads is probably one of the best things to start conversation on D1 and it can be used later to check for connections between scums. You refusing to do so is at the least unhelpful and could be scummy if I didn't know already you were scared to post reads lists from previous games.

Hi Sudeep, thanks for dropping by.

I'd just like you to address the logic you've applied to your vote.

In the underlined part, you say me reading Amitesh as town is what you don't like. That leads me to believe that you do not think Amitesh is town.

Yet your further reasoning (in bold), undermines your own reading ability by accusing me of trying to white-knight a town player, because I "know" he's town.

By that logic I would conclude that you do infact think Amitesh is town.

The bold part feels kinda slippy, as if deep down you know he's town. i.e. the logic you tried to apply to me.

Also I'm low-key insulted that you would think of my scum play as blatantly poor as that.

I could turn around and say exactly the thing about you - you're trying to make me out to be a white knight so you can try to white-knight me.
Thing that that I don't like about this post - Armin seems to be concluding things that match his agenda and not the reality.

Tl;dr of the above post is that:-

1. IMO, Armin has a stonger scum lean on Davi (which itself is blown out of proportion a bit) which he does not even pursue.
2. Instead he goes after Ric, on whom he has no real case. It's just some words put together for finding him scummy.
3. His confident town read on Amitesh comes from knowledge of him being town (imo). Which is why he's white knighting him and attacking Ric. I think that Armin thinks or thought at that point in time that Amitesh was going to be the most likely lynch for today so he just declared him town to stay away from his wagon.
4. His early pressure on Davi could also be an attempt at early distancing (something to be kept in mind if he flips scum).

Is a TL:dr post like that a common practice where you usually play Sudeep?

Looking at George's game, it feels very lost and perplexed.

As far as I can see, it's possibly his first time being town and all his talk seems like a complete newbie town, who is a bit confused about what he has to do as town.
(Trust me, I haven't really found the answer to this yet, but you get a clue as you play)

He is trying to avoid trouble but Ric coming at him while swinging his hammer like a mad man is only putting him under duress and skewing his own reads.

I really don't think we will get much by pressuring him further, except some mistakes and misreads.
Something I find concerning about Amitesh is this type of posts where he takes something someone else already said, changes the wording and makes it look like his own thought. In this case, Armin already had come to the same conclusion.

You can also put "Null", meaning you don't know, or "Possible town/scum" like George did if you're not very sure.
Technically if you are doing a GTH you are not supposed to put anything else than town or scum. If at this point I didn’t think George is a townie who finally realized he can’t play properly as he doesn’t seem to have the profile of a mafia player, I would have questioned him on that part of his list.

On that subject, Ric, why didn’t you question George about that?

And then wasting time trying to explain mafia theory to George.

Why has your opinion changed since you questioned him about it? Did you expect him to agree with you? No, you knew what he was going to say. Still you questioned him on it. You knew it was going to be a waste of time. Don't use that as an excuse to backtrack. You actually don't even care about your read on Davi, you just wanted to show that you were scum hunting.
Armin, I don’t believe you addressed that. Any reason why? Can you address it?

Yeah, Armin did say that first about newbies in general.
That's where I got the thought to view George's actions from the same perspective as I had during my first game, hating everyone and everything during that game.
So I was reasonably happy to put George in leaning town. And the point of the post is to nudge them away the squabble (howsoever terrible).
