This sounds like non sense, all of the 4 you have mentioned have posted more meaningful content than Jimmy, who has done nothing in the entire game, being useless as usual. There is absolutely nothing in 563 or 556 that would read Jimmy as town.

This may sound weird but i agree with Sudeep, i know myself i am useless on day 1, sometimes i gets better further in the game sometimes it doesn't depending on the role i have.

His list wasnt a GTH, i dont even know if he knows what a GTH was and I just figured that list would be good too in order to see what he was thinking.

And I questioned his reads because he was relunctant to give them out for whatever reason, but only the ones I thought were conflicting with his game so far (or rather what he showed to us regarding his thoughts so far)

Quote ( Sudeep Pednekar @ October 15th 2021,20:32:05 )

You're on the wrong time line. I'm talking about what he said initially. His scum read on Ricardo is just gut feel. His scum read on you on the other hand is quite in depth, related to past game experience, etc. I don't see how the latter isn't a stronger scum read in my opinion.

Whilst we're on this - can you show me where I produced a read on Davi that was either in-depth or related to past game experience? For simplicity sake, I've quoted the entire two sentences:

Quote ( Armin van Hülkenburg @ October 14th 2021,06:25:26 )

Two things:

a) Planning a jokevote automatically strikes me as someone who is worried about their jokevote coming back to bite them somehow. I feel someone nervous about that would be more likely to be scum than town.

b) The fact you've offered this extra information (the line in bold) as justification for your random jokevote after only minor prodding also strikes me on the surface as nervous scum.

Also, if we consider my read on Ric gut-feel (fair enough), can you explain how my read on Davi isn't also gut feel?

I'm not sure what to make of Armin not seeing what Sudeep means. I totally get what Sudeep means and I agree with it to some extent. It seems to me Armin is either not getting it or he's deliberately continuing the debate as to look active. I mean, I think about 80% of what Armin did on D1 so far was to talk to or about Sudeep.

George's behaviour regarding Ric is starting to cross this rule (or possibly has already) in my opinion:

Quote ( Sebastian Jóźwiak @ October 11th 2021,12:11:27 )

1: You are not forced to like each other but the fact that you badly want so and so lynched does not give you the right to be nasty to him or her. Criticism and heated debates are fine, and encouraged. Light insulting is permitted, but try not to go over the top or I may step in.
At that point Sudeep and Armin had exchanged at least the same amount of insults between themselves, yet you don't point that out. Why?

Yes, Ric, you can answer.

Because I don't like people reading me whatever role using bad reasons.

Sudeep and Armin's exchange was more contained in my opinion. George's behaviour was persistent and seemed to actually get under Ric's skin. The amount of "insulting" words might have been the same but you can insult someone without using derogatory terms.

Alright here I am taking another look at Amitesh

Quote ( Amitesh Patnaik @ October 13th 2021,16:55:45 )

I honestly did not like the conversation between Kirsty and Ric.
I do get that she perhaps wanted to get some conversation started but it also felt like Kirsty was picking on an easy target to do some townie-like questioning.
I rather find Kirsty's opening here rather different and odd.

In fact Ric not redirecting the accusation makes me feel that he is somewhat town-ish at this stage.

Ok so lets start with his first serious post, which was regarding the conversation between Kirsty and I.

So he says Kirsty was trying to target me to make her look like a townie, and says her opening was rather different and odd. I have to ask this, different from what exactly Amitesh?

He also says that me not redirecting the accusation (which he makes clear later is his view on how I would act as scum) makes him feel that I'm town-ish at this stage. Now I'm all in for people seeing me as town but only as long as you have a good reason to do so.

Quote ( Amitesh Patnaik @ October 13th 2021,17:14:50 )

Easy target to get worked up and question him to get some reactive answers?
Yes, I do believe he is.

If I were to truly want to investigate Ric, I would have rather let him continue with chatter and question him later in the day after he makes a few slip ups.
I don't really see how using the most talkative person in the game to get conversation started really works. He is gonna get chatting regardless of what we do. It seems like an attempt to show towniness.

First part, fine it is true (we already got to see proof of that) but the 2nd part of this quote bugs me. First, he says that he would question me after I made some slip ups, which kinda implies I'm going to slip up. Why? (i think this was discussed later so no need to answer Amitesh, I'm just following a thought process). And also, I totally don't get why talking to me (aka the most active person) is an attempt to show towniness. Like what is the difference between having that conversation with me or with Jimmy, for example? Or Ivelin? Or whoever it is? I don't get it.

Quote ( Amitesh Patnaik @ October 13th 2021,18:17:18 )

I said you are an easy target when it comes to 'asking questions to get a reaction and get riled up, and gain some townie points for yourself'.

Ok I don't understand how me having a reaction gains townie points for the person that triggered it. Wouldn't it be the opposite? Wanting me to have a reaction and thus (theoreticly) throwing chaos and unecessary wall posts into the thread? This is already the 2nd argument that doesn't make a lot of sense and feels like it's just made up gibberish to be honest...

When I asked him how riling up me would grant anyone townie points, his answer was:

Quote ( Amitesh Patnaik @ October 13th 2021,18:24:16 )

Is it about 'riling up' or is it about 'asking questions'?

Not everything is about you, Ric.

Completely avoiding the question, and so I insisted:

Quote ( Ricardo Antunes @ October 13th 2021,18:28:49 )

Let's try again. You say here, asking questions TO GET A REACTION AND GET RILED UP.

How does that grant anyone townie points?

Quote ( Amitesh Patnaik @ October 13th 2021,19:15:36 )

To me, it seemed like an attempt to act like a concerned townie who is trying to put pressure on someone. Felt too superficial to me.
Nor did I like how she reinforced her vote on you with what appears to be a weak argument.

Note that it's early game, so it is weird that Amitesh is talking about arguments being too superficial at this point. So I followed up by asking him for arguments that weren't superficial.

Quote ( Ricardo Antunes @ October 13th 2021,19:19:21 )

Indicate 1 non-superficial attack/pressure/suspicion at the time Kirsty had hers please.

I got ignored.

So basicly his first argument is already bogus. He isn't able to defend his arguments and I find that scummy. Like I don't care if I don't agree with your defense but at least present one.

By the way Amitesh, never too late to answer that :)

I am going to not make 1 giant wall post this time so I'll post this and get back with more in a bit.

(Early) on D1? Not really.

Quote ( Ricardo Antunes @ October 16th 2021,16:15:01 )

I don't really remember Kirsty's games if I'm to be honest. The only meta conversation i remember that stuck in my brain was when she said she played the same way as scum and town and so it was impossible to detect her alignment. Or something like that
I gave Kirsty as an example because she's often thinking that I did x or y as scum in another game so I must be scum in this one, but usually x or y is NAI or just not scummy at all.

Getting under someone's skin is part of the game and is not against the rules. Insulting each other beyond the stage of light insults is against the rules. So either you didn't understand the rule or you were just posting fluff.
