I'm almost certain people have gotten to master maybe even elite without spending a single penny on the game. This is certainly not a pay to win game, and never will be. You only essentially pay for the storage of data that you cant be arsed to put on your own excel sheet, you have all the same features than a paying person and you aint going to be missing out on anything with not being a supporter. You just havent found a good enough team to help support your progress

It remind me of the old phrase: "I don't drink. I don't like it. It makes me feel good".

Maybe it's because it's incredibly challenging that people like it.

You are correct.

You must spend GPRO dollars to update your car, get a new driver, upgrade your staff, etc...

Alternatively, you can refuse to pay them bills and reach Elite in 17 races with a L1 car on 100% wear! You get a HoF nomination if you pull that off!

This is one of the few games that actually has a no pay-to-win system in place, by being a supporter, you don`t get 10% more speed, 12% tyre durability or 30% less fuel consumption.

There is no need Kyle or anyone else say all these things.
If it was a new manager, it would be a very well said and the phrase "there is a mentor program" would appear immediately.
But saying such truths to someone with 800 GPs is just a waste of time or an unnecessary extra wear on your keybord

In all honesty though, sorry this didn't work out for you. The game's not for everyone. I gave up on the idea of promoting very high a long time ago and I'm ready to leave as soon as it becomes an inconvenience. Hope you find something more your speed soon. Call back any time

a friend of mine is playing this game , and he refer me to it . With some great tools available every where on internet .
you don’t need to be a team player , and you don’t need to pay money .

i started playing on season 69 then quite , and now back again ( thanks COVID 19 ) .

never based ( AMATEUR ) , but it doesn’t mean the game is wrong .

very much the opposite .

keep calm my friend , and for the rest of commentary managers , each one have his own way of asking for help . ( keep it down plz )

Included in Paul's team recruitment post from today for what they would like from a recruit:

• Commitment to the game, intention to stay with the team for a number seasons and intention to promote to higher levels in the game.

What's wrong with Canadians?

Aren't they supposed to be some of the kindest people in the world and 2 rants from them in one season?

I am figuring out there are no quick fixes (as such) and you need to be thinking 4, 5 , 6+ seasons ahead. I guess if you aren’t prepared to think several seasons ahead, it is hard to progress up the ranks. I guess that is why it is an online manager game?

Personally, have enjoyed my yo-yo from rookie, to amateur to Pro, (repeat repeat repeat). Would I like to progress higher? Absolutely (all in good time). I will be the first to admit it can be hard to stay motivated when you know you have a season of development on your hands… but when you get some positive results with something you built it makes it worth it in the end.

I am a paid supporter, because I love the game and want to do my part in supporting the game, not because I use it as a lever to win (although... that would be nice #cough cough# haha!).

Best advice I received: be social and connect with others. Share and grow together.

your profile data shows that you've spent about 220 hours on the gpro platform in about 12 years, which means 18 hours a year, which in turn means an hour and a half a month, which means 22 minutes\week, which in turn means 3 minutes a day [possibly the qualifying time, no deep strategy included and this is a strategy game, and maybe some time watching some races]. it looks like you gave up on the game on entering, and still consider the game 'horrible'? your [other] mistake is to call "payers" the people who are simply playing the game, and who don't really treat it like a weekly arcade coin.

Canadian? That's rather a broad generality. We have the same amount of all kinds of people.

The good, the bad and yes those who rant. We are supposed to be the most polite not necessarily
'kindest' lol

I'll offer the mainstream excuse for everything these .. covid, made us do it.

*joking with you. Seems it is necessary to point that out these days. ;)

I think he needs a mentor and some personal will to improve himself as a manager.
Its easier to criticize than to try to improve.
Any manager willing to learn can progress in the game, you just have to want it and dedicate some time in learning the overall mechanics.
