I find this unfair, not corresponding to F1 and solutionable.

Type punctures can happen in F1.. Correct.. But...
1 - Not always in front of the pit lane
2 - Cars go back slowly to the pit stop to change the tyre

Yesterday, I am 3rd and don't finish the GP because the incident occurs 3 or 4 laps before the end, with no way to repair. That makes no sense and that makes no sense to me only, but to anybody who lives this incident with ho solution left. Except a crash, there always is a solution to repair.

Actually, a race-ending tyre puncture is realistic. It can cause the driver to lose control over the car and possibly crash.

Whether they're fair is another topic...

What Richard said.
Gpro has no real notion of crashes, so any race ending puncture could be interpreted either as a puncture that makes the driver unable to reach the pitbox, or one that crashes him out.

Seen Baku this year? Plenty of race ending punctures there.

Well in F1...
- Sometimes the driver makes it to the pits, sometimes they have to park on the grass
- Sometimes the car is too damaged and needs to retire after reaching the pits
- Sometimes they crash

Sorry for your race ending puncture though, they're annoying as heck.

One season, I saw our race leader (in first place) have a puncture starting the last lap = DNF!! on the start finish straight.

I'm certain he wasn't happy. It's what could be called 'bad luck'.

It happened to me a few races ago ... and in Elite to the leader too. Bad luck but it happens.
