Hi Keith

I swapped Sereno and Gattulli out for Coosemans and Syrjäläinen but my current picks are not showing this. My race 12 score is affected by this I believe

Did you change more than just Goran's swap?

I'm not 100% sure but I think the results before that fix had me at 22.xx and Calum was first with 27.xx points (and possibly other changes too). Our scores are now 20.xx and 24.xx even though our picks don't interfere with Goran's swap, so they shouldn't have changed.

Yes there were 3 other people's swaps that had not been recorded - Xavier Rimantas and Claudio

Congratulations @Calum MacKinnon (A39) on winning the EBS crown in the first return season

Well done (and bad luck!!) as well to @Chris Adnams (E) and @Peter Willmore (A29) on the podium places

Hope you all enjoyed the season. It did not run as smoothly as I hoped - a combination of internet issues and me underestimating the time involved in processing swaps ( which had a greater impact on the game than I had catered for). I have changed the process so it should run smoother next season - with hindsight perhaps I should have run a trial season with a few players but as they say hindsight has 20/20 vision!!!

The new season thread will be up soon - there is likely to be some tweaking of the rules around swaps but that will be included in the new thread.

Thanks for taking part

HI Keith,

I enjoyed the game, but unfortunately I have a lot of RL events taking place in the next 3 months and I wont have time to be able to play the game as I should.

I'll definitely play S87 again.

Suggestions:

1) To publish the results the following day after a race would go a long way in prepping for the next race. ( I understand it tedious as you mentioned , but with built in formula's (you are using excel right, it shouldn't take that long to do) Publishing results of last race on race day, one doesn't always have the time for analysis, I had to do 2 rushed selections which cost me big time.

2) Allow up to 4 changes a race so what, but sacrifice the 4 race waiting period to 2, so iow you can keep the same team for 2 races, but after that you MUST change 50% (2 changes) to your team or the penalties kick in. (This will make your life much easier than having to track every race who has what changes)

3) What would be a shakeup though is to NOT allow a manager to keep the same manager for long periods. i.e. I select "x" for race 1, but I cant select "x" for all 17 races, so for example allow up to 4 races with "x" and then it must become a forced change for race 5, you can select "x" again in R6 if you want, but this way it will allow a more even game play.

Anyways thanks for the great work you do and see you in S87.

@Peter Peyper (P13)

Thanks for your comments .

Regarding 1 - I agree entirely and the issues last season were (as I explained) a combination of Internet issues (which left me only able to access GPRO via the mobile phone so linking with an Excel document in the cloud was a no-no) and me underestimating the amount of time processing the swaps would take . I have (hopefully!!) simplified my system here and am planning to get the results out within 12 hours of the race end... I will probably regret saying that!

Regarding 2 & 3 - I will leave the rules as they are for this season but will consult with the other players near the end of the season and sound out what they feel would be an improvement....

Thanks for the suggestions and look forward to seeing you next season

I know I may be a pain in the eyes, but when did this game change? If Season 1 has the exact same rules, the answer is easy. If not, we have to look when and what changed.

It's a revived game that was popular and successful. I don't think we should talk about changing any rule.
