Basically since we need 2 finalists, 4 semi-finalists, 8 quarter-finalists, 16 round of 16 teams then it makes sense to have a reduced round of 32(or rather round of 24 and 8 byes)
First round of the cup will be 8 groups of 3 - top team will go through.....
From then on it will be as normal

TBH I have not finalised the Cup yet but I have until Race 9 to get it sorted.... As we are 2 short maybe the Champions and the Cup winners get to pick a second team??? Or those 2 teams are in a group of 2???
Will look at the options and decide nearer the deadline.....
