As we all know.
Bond died in last one...
For me it was a bad movie. So it kind makes sense.
End is always ugly. How ever you wanna put it.
Bond s been around for a long time now. Saw it all.
And been trough a lot. It was his time to die in No time to die.
When we just just get to know him... after Skyfall.
Movie franchise that lasted almost 70 years main character is dead...
New times are coming and Bond was a sort of an old school man. There was just no place for him in this new world.

Back to the point.

Move... Im gona go with Skyfall. Everything is vulnerable and destroyable.

Girl - Octopussy in Octopussy

Theme - For your eyes only by Sheena Easton

Villain - Dr. No

Bond may be dead, but that doesn't mean the series is...Bond 26 is likely already in production according to rumours.

Anyway:

Movie - License to Kill (love Dalton's steely portrayal...and it's the only film that is a 15 - or at least was at the time - thanks to how gritty it is)

Girl - Xenia Onatopp (Goldeneye) - no explanation needed ;)

Theme - View to a Kill by Duran Duran

Villain - Javier Bardem as Raoul Silva...unreal how good he is!

See I preferred Natalya from Goldeneye. Bit more girl next door like. Xenia was too vicey :D

Goldenye was my favourite, but I also really liked The World Is Not Enough. To be fair to Brosnan, he was in some decent stories and nice casts in most of his films (apart from Die Another Day).

Theme would also be Goldeneye. Was quite seductive really… suited Tina Turner’s vocals !

Villain - Has to be Jaws, the guy was freaking ugly. Think he appeared in Superman 3 or 4 as well. ( https://i1.sndcdn.com/artworks-000152731440-4ty82s-t3000x3000.jpg )

Favourite actual Bond - either Connery or Brosnan for me. They both had the right ingredients for me as a Bond character. I know a lot of people like Daniel Craig, but I just felt he lacked humour and personality. I don’t remember laughing too much at any Craig scenes? So for me,Craig is quite low down as he seemed a very wooden character. Brosnan at least managed some light humour at the right moments, without being too cliched or sassy (Which I think most would agree that Roger Moore was far and away the most - and probably humorous of all the Bond’s).

Just the mention of Bond and...

Golden Eye theme starts to play in my head
Music by Bono
Lyrics by The Edge
Performed by Tina Turner

For others:

Girl Xenia Onatopp (Goldeneye) - no explanation needed ;)

Villain - Goldfinger : "No Mr Bond, I expect you to die!"

Goldfinger on all levels...

Sean Connery best by miles!

Totally with Mikko... 'do you expect me to talk.. no mr bond i expect you to die!!!'

Honor Blackman and that slightly husky voice every day of the week ;)

Maybe on theme tune i would favour diamonds are forever or live and let die, tough call!

The one Ian Fleming saw and said "That's not James Bond" about...that Bond? :P

I get it though; he is a quality Bond - way better than most in my opinion :)

Casino Royale is the best movie, so good in fact it has the best villain in Le Chiffre and the best bond girl in Vesper, and the best theme is uh.. Duran Duran's A View to a Kill, even though Cornell's song was pretty decent.

I don't think you necessarily need to rate Daniel Craig to prefer the modern grittier set of movies he's fronted. He was right for them. Maybe somebody else could have been more right. I'm intrigued to see where they go next anyway.

Also is it recency bias to say Paloma is right up there in the girls list too? (The 'three weeks training' CIA agent in Cuba in No Time To Die). Let's face it historically most of the girls were there to set up witty lines for Bond, but she gets half the the comedy lines in that movie as well as being charming and badass, which is a combination I don't think they've properly nailed before through all the various attempts to modernise bond girls. Felt like Bond got up-staged for the few short minutes she was on screen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYPgDb5nJpM

The name 007 ELEMENTS reflects the visitor's journey through a series of galleries, each distilling the craft of the signature elements that define a James Bond film. The installation focuses on Spectre, which was shot in Sölden and also features other titles in the long-running Bond film franchise.

I came across this interesting stuff. Didnt know something like this exists.

Agree with all of this - although I can't enjoy Casino Royale as much, as I knew the original film before seeing it...and so with the plot similarities, it's really hard to watch it without making comparisons between the two, as the original was a comedy (which actually starred Ursula Andress amongst others)! Btw for those who haven't seen it, it's a star-studded comedy...genuinely an impressive comedic cast, including one Stirling Moss making a brief debut as himself, alongside the following:

Peter Sellers
Ursula Andress
David Niven
Woody Allen
Ronny Corbett
Orson Welles

And an uncredited Peter O'Toole also (as if the above wasn't impressive enough already!).

Vesper - not really. She fake it all along. She got involved with some wrong people. And... it cost her life...
Just when Bond started to like her.
She was kind above him. I can see why he loved her.
The chapter in the book when she dies is titled - "The bitch dies". Yeah. But this one he loved.
Craigs Bond is more personal, more depressive. We see his phisical and psihological report - Unfit. Alcohol and substance abuse.

I'm partial to the Roger Moore films myself but I have favorites from multiple actors except for Dalton.

Connery - Goldfinger
Moore - Man with the Golden Gun
Brosnan - GoldenEye
Craig - Skyfall

Girl - Honey Rider and Jinx from Die Another Day

Theme - Live and Let Die and GoldenEye

Villain - Francisco Scaramanga (Christopher Lee) and its not even close.
