chris, have you seen the last season and how kobe played???

Of course i have, but one season playing more like a team player does not make up for the crap he has caused in the past in my opinion.

I have never said anywhere he is a bad player, he is just not the sort of guy i would want on my team.

but u not wanting him on your team does not make his talents diminish, does not lower the fact that, he is a candidate for the playoffs mvp, and definetely does not lower the fact that the way he has played, and the team played, they deserve to win
and celtics have a good team, good players
that is why I say lakers-celtics final

and neil, who of the guys u just said is still a candidate for the finals?

by the way, i am no kobe fan but i can certainly accept that he is goood, HE IS GOOOOOOOOOOD

the best players left in the playoffs are Kobe, Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan , these are players that can change the course of any game
i would have loved it if Ray Allen would be in that list, but with the way he is playing, not being very efficient from the floor ... shooting 3s was his bussiness after Reggie Miller left the game, but that was when he was playing for the supersonics

with the spurs it's far from over
they are good at getting their heads in the game when they need it most

manu ginobili had a great performance last game, 30 points, awesone

and the candidates for the mvp this year are:
lebron james, kevin garnett, chris paul and kobe bryant

Which MVP would that be...

Becuase Kobe already won the MVP, and Paul and James are already out of the playoffs :S

i just wanted to point out the mvp candidates for this year
cuz kobe and garnett were the only ones left in the playoffs
and thus, supporting the ideea that a lakers - celtics final is at hand

i know kobe got it, it was just a reminder

if u are talking about his whole career
i respectfully have to disagree

there is Jordan, Bird, Magic, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Shaq, Julius Erving, Elgin Baylor, Hakeem Olajuwon ...

i agree with some, but give me the permission to desegree with some names here (Shaq??? what the hell?)...just say:

JORDAN ;)

Kobe is great... but he will never reach the magic and excellence of MJ!!

and guys...it's not a question of career points or titles...it's all the rest!! what is "all the rest"?? ...just watch the videos of MJ!

ben, i respectfully have to disagree, again
jordan played till 99, he had a pause, he won in 95-96 season, he was top scorer

do you really think the last 10 years changed the nba so much?
and if so, please explain yourself in more detail

playing defensively or on ofense was the same 30 years ago, not 10 years ago, 30
so the only thing that might have changed is maybe the overall value of the players in the nba, but in the last 10 years, maybe, maybe, a very small increase

and last but not least, MJ was the one that made basketball more popular, with his talent, Bird was another one, not kobe, sorry

and about shaq, i say he is in top 15, maybe even 10, not because he had the best average on shooting, but because he is big (the biggest) , and he was unguardable for a long time, now he is old, and what u see is not what he was able to do in his youth

He is not that sort of player where he makes that much of a difference to them....they have 2 superstars, plus Odom and a ton of roleplayers.

Watching the game last night, i think this might be the year when the machine that is the spurs, runs out of gas.

They just dont have the necessary personnel to take on a team with as much depth as the Lakers.

David Stern has told the refs to favor the Celtics and Lakers, since he knows that the NBA will get more revenue from a final between these 2 teams.

Spurs refuse to blame loss on refs... that´s ridiculous !!!!!

They can certainly complain about that final, fateful play.

They had pretty reasonable justification to moan about the whistle that wasn't blown.

But you know what?

The San Antonio Spurs passed.

The Spurs resisted Tuesday night (game 4) when presented with yet another chance to fume about the presence of the referee they dread seeing more than any other, presumably because they know the truth.

Which is to say that they've had too many promising opportunities in these Western Conference finals, too many to bray about one non-call from Joey Crawford, no matter how crucial the timing. The Spurs are down 3-1 to the Los Angeles Lakers because that's where they belong.

What the nba says about that ?????

You could make a strong case that the Spurs shouldn't even have been in the position to tie or win this Game 4 on their final possession. Television replays indicate that Fisher's shot with 6.9 seconds to go GRAZED THE RIM before bouncing out of bounds off Robert Horry's leg, meaning that the Lakers should have had a NEW shot clock instead of asking Kobe Bryant to hurry a fadeaway jumper after the ensuing timeout. A NEW SHOT CLOCK would have forced the Spurs to foul Bryant (assuming no turnover) as opposed to getting the ball back off Bryant's miss to draw up a potential game-winning play.

What the nba say about that ?
