I think the most ironic thing of all was that considering that this whole event was in Spain, it sounded like at least 80% of the crowd were backing Rossi.

There were even boos at the end of the race.

The points table doesn't lie though but talk of most poles, most fastest laps, first in most practice sessions by Lorenzo count for nothing so I don't see why he needs to refer to this. There are no points for any of those feats.

One wonders what the situation would've been if Rossi hadn't wasted those years at Ducati.

Really ? And I suppose your best argument is Marquez should have refrained himself from passing Rossi at Sepang, although in racing YOU ARE ALLOWED TO PASS and here at Valencia, he should have passed Lorenzo ? It's funny how Rossi's fans DICTATE how Marquez should run his races.

Nop, try again.

Marquez was allowed to fight with Rossi for a place. But his intention was clear, he didn't care for the win in both races. Just to mess with the champioship.

Pedrosa, on the other hand, was brilliant. Fought fair and square for the win. Have you seen any Rossi fan complaining about him?

Oh dear...it was obvious from the very first laps that Marquez won`t make any attempt at overtaking Lorenzo, and on top of all that, he slowed down his team mate aswell when he got too close. Marquez will have a lot of work to do to repair his image. 7 or 8 driver`s title make no difference for Rossi, he`s by far the most popular driver on the grid and he`ll be missed when he retires. The fact that Lorenzo was booed at home, after winning the race and the championship, speaks for itself.

And I think most people aren`t upset or bothered by Lorenzo winning this title, but are bothered by the manner in which he won it, which is a disgrace to sport. It was non-combat from Marquez and it`s regrettable he`ll get away with it.

To protect his second place. He couldn't make a pass for 1st since he wasn't fast enough, but he could defend second. Can you, with valid arguments, contradict this ? I mean, not because YOU THINK, or IT WAS CLEAR, etc. and other speculative arguments, which don't stand.

Shameful attitude of Marquez. Unsportsmanlike conduct. It was against all Valentino in recent races.

There was never a kick out of Valentino, was Marquez that caused his fall from the helicopter watch it in slow motion

Haha these excuses are hilarious 😂😂😂. I won't miss Rossi and his butthurt fanboys at all, why so many people like him dumb founds me. He's nothing but a sore loser who comes up with all these excuses when he isn't winning because he knows he can get away with it. Well done Jorge, defiantly the better rider (this year), it's a shame that Rossi's whining and failed cheating has overshadowed your victory. Can't wait for Marquez to break all Rossi's records either. I use to respect Rossi like everyone else does (but I didn't fanboy him like you all do) but since he started all these conspiracies i've lost all of it, funny how everythings gone wrong for him since. 😂

Rossi lost the title with some of his poor decision making this season. He threw away a victory by not pitting when everyone else did a few races back.
Lorenzo was actually the better rider all season, but for the first few races of the season. He deserved the title, though the manner in which it will be remembered has been tarnished by Marquez.

Pedrosa was excellent today, and probably deserved to win. I like the way he didn't get involved in the Marquez/Rossi incident, which Lorenzo couldn't keep himself out of. Probably the only sour point of Lorenzo's season for me.

And Rossi complains about Marquez in Phillip island, the same race that Maquez pulled back nearly a second gap on the last lap and overtook LORENZO on the 3rd last corner to deny him a win, while Rossi was losing out to the considerable disadvantaged Ianonne at the same time.

And people keep bashing Marquez and congratulating Pedrosa. Be real, do you really think for a second that Pedrosa would let Rossi win the title instead Lorenzo and be blamed by the whole Spanish community ? He just wanted to pass Marquez, I'm sure he would have stayed behind Lorenzo as well. And it's not like Lorenzo was 2 secs off pace and they stayed behind him. It wasn't that clear. Lorenzo was driving very fast. Maybe in the end Marquez lost tires as well.
