Resigned my driver, so I'm ready to race. Just have a bit of an issue with the weather forecast. I'm sure I've made a mess of the strategy. :/
Ivan doesn't have the headache, lucky bugger, doesn't have to worry about the strategy in this race yet. :P
Good luck everyone. :)

You were a bit unlucky last race having to lower motivation when you had FT and good weather conditions. I'm sure you would have won the race if you had planned to push.

So both of you are planning promotion next season, the same season I am planning it too?
I'm in trouble...

Even more so with being 1-1 in the Cup with Ivan Silva and BOTH of us needing to stay on the low side to finalise extension after the race... It comes down to the unusual compilation of: "Who will do worst"? to see who will not go on in the cup.

I never said i was gonna finish on the low side tonight, which is why the race will be interesting.

The cup leg is yours then. I'll try to avoid top 18 or so, likely meaning I'll go 22+.

I suppose I'm assuming with the difficulty in keeping the driver for yet another season after next. Then again he didn't deny it. *wink*

I'm trusting my assessment of the progress in the group so far, not anything Ivan has said or not said. Which also says that it's possible a few others are wanting to attempt promotion next season.

Thanks Atli, completely unexpected, especially when I saw how long the dry period was. Contis and Hackocks 1 and 2 in the rain; what's wrong with that picture? lol Somehow I don't think we'll be so lucky in Austin.

I fueled for 31 laps for the first stint, just in case it started late (seen before with this type of forecast)
But I just underfueled it 6 laps for the second stint, dropping me from 8th to 17th.
I managed to predict it reasonably close this time, but no cigar though.

I'm broke financially now, so my fat arse 80kg driver is going on a diet, so I expect him to speed it up a little bit,, whipped on by serious hunger for food and points.. :þ

Congrats Makis on the win and congrats to Joaquin and Christoph for Podi.
Consolation price goes to Michal for 5th on Contis in a rain race.
The superman medal on the other hand goes to Rafael, for a wicked 10th on Pipis.

Well done everyone.

Actually He's done P4 :)

That race was better for me than the previous one.
With the right tyres, and without extrapit, it's better^^

Anyway, I didn't planned to promote in the end of the season. I've read that already three other guys are planning it for next season. Four with me it means. At least!
Well... I won't push this season but if I can get a cheap promotion to master... well... why not?

It is very nice to have such a competition and even if you plan to promote and there are other 5-6 people, it is a game and this is what it is .
Also yes amazing result for Szopinski in the wet....

Also to be fair (or scare off) i started negotiations with Van Boommel sponsor and already at 9% just saying ... it means nothing....

A great next Rain Race .... and Q1 closer to Yoko tire.... let's see how things will turn out
