Hello everyone. It's great to be here among you. Good season 37 guys!
|

|
Here we go again with the tyre choice tactics at the beginning of a season!
I am still a strong believer in uniform tyres in a group, as this shows the managers skills and not the "luck" of having better tyres according to the weather.
So I say every group should have uniform tyres, HOWEVER, the uniform tyres should be deduced in the following process:
- There should be three categories within a group: relegation, retention, promotion/winner
- There should be a question before the season starts: Do you want to relegate ?
- The managers who want to relegate, get Pipirelli automatically strait away.
- The managers who DO NOT want to relegate go in a tendering procedure.
- The remaing managers then have the question: Do you want to promote or win the title ?
- This way, the remaing managers get split up into two groups: retainers and promoters/winners
- All the remaining managers choose the tyre (the 6 available) they want to have (could be tactical aswell). This is obviously not shown at first.
- The tyres that has the most bids (3 days time) in each category (retainers/promoters) wins, and each catagory within the group gets this tyre.
Once the tyres have been decided, then all the tyre choices of the managers within the group are revealed.
This proceedure should be done, and the tyres should be decided latest three days after season reset.
Anyone who does not participate within the three days gets the retention tyres automatically.

don't know how this would work..
IF you say the truth about the promotion/retention choice then every manager should choose pipis as even if they are not chosen then you would take the same tyres as the rest so still have an advantage
the only way this wouldn't work would be if somebody believes the one of the 2 categories would take a better tyre
for instance you believe that you go just for retention, but you believe that the promotion caetgory will select BY instead of the pipis the retention team is gonna select
so you select promo category to have an advantage over other retention guys..
all in all interesting idea but not sure if it will work

All offers made. Now I can just wait and hope! Hopefully I'll get one of my first two choices ;)

Sole bidder on one, so I should at least have a driver by the end of this.

Damn it! Just before deadline my 4th choice TD which was just a back up bid got another 3 offers... I just hope that I won't be left with none of the 4 TD's I bid on.

Wow, outbid on all 4 despite offering high salaries and huge bonuses already. Now that's my plans gone down the drain :/

Well, in s35 Leandro, Vsevolod and Rimantas left their decisions to well under 10 minutes to go. Leandro was the last at about 6 minutes to go.
Balls of steel required to better that.....or even match it, for that matter.
